When Kisame first saw "Madara" and joined Akatsuki, why did the "Madara" have long hair? Wasn't Obito the one who was pretending to be Madara at that time?

yes, it was Obito.. And Kisame proly believed it was Madara or something cuz all Uchihas looks the same anyway......... (maybe's he told him that he did something to himself to prevent himself from aging)

or maybe, he casted a genjutsu on him showing the real old Madara.

Well given the fact Kisame and Obito was around the same age he probably realized that it was Obito but went along with calling him "Madara" I want to say Kisame was there doing Obito's Chunnin exam.

@Thread, I guess you haven't heard of ninjutsu?
It's also possible his hair grew that way, he does have zetsu genes in him after all.

Cuz they were bestfriends right? Give me a break...
Obito doesn't even look the same after the rock crushed half his body. Also they live in an age of war. Chances are, they didn't have chuunin exams together.

^ no one said they were best friends ...but he likely knew who Obito was. The Uchihas were well known and feared by other villages and clans. I'm sure even Obito was in the Bingo book not because he was a threat then but was going to become a potential threat one day.

Why don't you take another read of chapter 599 and you will see other villages cooperating in the Chunnin exams. One being Deidara.

Of course they're not best-friends..
You're supposed to use your brain to figure out why Kisame, having the possibility of seeing Obito once during a chuunin exam, does not mean there's a good chance that he would still recognize half of obito's aged face 15 years later. Add that to the fact that Obito is listed as deceased, and you're grasping at straws like a 2 year old. No offense...
:amazed

Btw, minor threats are not put into the bingo book. Otherwise, the pages of the book would reach from the surface of the Earth all the way to the moon. It's only when they are exceptional ninja. Obito may have had potential by birth, but he was weak. Even considered weak by his own clan.

Well, I mean, Madara was "dead" for the past 50 or so years and Kisame still thought of him as Madara, or at least said he did...

1. Most likely and logical answer, Kishi plot hole.

2. Kisame was given a full description of Madara and Obito fooled him, but that would make no sense given this "Madara is taller than Kisame" when Tobi wasn't.

3. Genjutsu
