I'm currently 5'6 and when I got my physical for football (last year) I was 5'6, but when I stand next to one of my friend which he is 5'9 I look like I'm 5'8 next to him. So when I got home I had my brother measured me using measuring tape and I was 5'6 close to 5'7. My doctor told me I would be around 5'10 or 6'0 ft when I hit my growth spurt. I'm 16 about to be 17 next month and I'm wondering when I will hit my growth spurt? And I'm scared that I won't hit my growth spurt( trying to play CB or SS for my HS.) any suggestions?

Stretch a lot, every morning at least. Refrain from working out it stunts your growth.Has for your growth spurt my brother was 5'8 in grade 10 and the next year he got about to 6'3, wait for it it will come eventually if it hasnt already.

I think guys don't stop growing until they are 18-21.
It will come with time and patience. Just be thankful you're not 4'11'', like me. :smile

I try stretching but I stop after a while, I work out but I don't do squats because I know it stuns your growth, but hopefully I hit it this year thanks for the help.

HenaraMakizu-Yeah I read about that somewhere but I need to hit it before next football season( planning on becoming to become a LOCKDOWN corner for my HS with a lot of HARDWORK and training. Btw its good to be short, guys like short girls

By the way, that theory of weightlifting stunts your growth has been disproven by science and I have personal experience too. I was a 5'5 ish cornerback when I started my freshman year of high school and I have been lifting all year and now I am 5'9 ish. Anyways, just let mother nature take its course, you will hit your growth spurt soon enough, enjoy your small size while you can since when you grow you may switch positions, since I was the same way. :amused

I read about that too, but I still have fear of lifting weights only work on my upper body and do normal squats and jump rope to work on my foot seed and footwork
