Let's be honest, I'm sure all of us, or at least some of us have heard people say "Kishimoto is a bad writer." or "He's an amazing writer" by a lot of people. And there are even people who say "Tite Kubo is a better writer than Kishimoto." or "Eiichiro Oda is a better writer than Kishimoto." which, I've heard so many different opinions on how Naruto is constructed as a series.
Personally speaking, I don't see THAT many plot holes in Naruto. I see some issues with it, but nothing terrible, or nothing that makes the series drop as a whole. I see change in a series, but then again, a lot of people don't seem to like change either.
So, what's your opinion on Kishimoto's writing? How do you feel about the Naruto series now that it's coming to a close soon?
I personally think Kishimoto has done a kick ass job. Nothing perfect by any means, but for someone who is obligated to constantly think up ideas every single day or week that he has to, he does a great job in my opinion.
(Keep in mind, I know he's not the best writer. There are better.)
But what's your opinion on Naruto & the way Kishimoto writes Naruto?

I like Kishi and I think he's a good writer, but he has a few plot holes throughout the series, and some characters have lived through situations where they clearly should have died (Sasuke mainly).

The storyline in naruto...is a masterpiece, it always kept me focused and fascinated and it still does, I never expected it to go so much into depth and be so complex...looking back at the very first episodes of naruto...you can see how complex this anime really is.

He's a good writer, but I think his prime was back in Pre-Shippuden, his way of introduction of new characters now and their impacts on the story is rather lame. Plot holes too, though there's not too-too many as has been said.
Pre-Shippuden > Shippuden for me. Good series overall though.

He used to be good. Pre-Ship tops Shippuden, and he wrote quite nicely back then. He f'd up with Shippuden real bad. With all the plot holes, predictable events, and the overuse of Plot no Jutsu he made/makes it seem like he doesn't give a shit about Naruto anymore and is just writing to get money. He's not awful, but he's certainly not great either. I wouldn't even say he's one of the top writers. Mid-tier at best.
