...because Kishimoto-sensei likes torturing us.

Many fans have complained that no one important died, so here's what you wanted, guys. I have no idea why some people are disappointed and in desperate need for some drama.
I really like the turn of events, except Neji's sudden death.
I really cried a lot, this even surprised me a lot, because Neji was one of my faves and I would have reacted the same way if any other ninjas from Konoha 11 died.

Now that Madara is at Obito's mercy, I have no clue about how the story will develop. I do feel that Madara is responsible for Rin's death and soon enough we will find out what truly happen. My guess is that Madara sent those Kiri-nins to ambush Kakashi and Rin and in order to fully manipulate Obito, he wanted to cause him a great pain.
So, Rin dies, Obito gets the MS, both Kakashi and Obito don't have the MS side effects, perhaps because the MS was activated by a non-Uchiha and he didn't have the other eye (Madara might have been aware of this facts).
Kishimoto needs to reveal the mysteries behind Rin's death. I'm so sure that Kakashi is innocent and Rin sacrificed her life to protect the data she had held.

There are still more to come and I'm really curious about what Sasuke is doing, if Orochimaru will aid the Allied Shinobi Forces and if the Kages are still alive.

I've come to this conclusion since Nagato used Rinne Tensei and he revived the killed Ninjas. Kishimoto-sensei has, the so-called, 'protected ninjas'. Ninjas who died or were near death and Kishimoto-sensei protected them. These characters are Gaara, Hinata, Kakashi and Shizune. I focused my attention on these characters and they had some major roles until now, except Shizune. Both Gaara and Hinata helped Naruto to change before and during the war, Kakashi was essential to witness Obito's 'transformation'.

About the up-coming deaths, I'm afraid that Kishimoto-sensei is on a killing spree... God knows what he's planning...

Because it's become way too predictable and care-bear-ish. What's the point of watching something when you know the good guys are untouchable or the bad guys are just cookie-cutter villains? Killing Neji was a good start, but unfortunately it's too late. I'll admit I wasn't expecting him to kill off Neji, but that doesn't change anything.

TL:DR: Needs more realism, not drama. If drama comes with realism - then bring it.

He is kinda, he said it in the interview that Neji's death was just a beginning, he'll go hard on everyone.

With that one he was just trolling his fandom.

Maybe with this one he will keep his promise. :amazed

Neji's death had little effect...it was rushed. Kishi should have neem killing main ninjas throughtout the 615 chapters. The war arc is now being rushed and so are the deaths meaning there is no time for the characters to show their response. The main characters now are Obito, Madara, and Naruto. Any other death would likely not matter icluding Kakashi and Sakura. Why? Because the Juubi is freaking OP^2. You expect everyone else to die against him. They are literally on a suicide mission now.
:wacko
