Ok, here's the scenario. I guess everyone if not, most of us know what Britain's got talent is.? Ok. So this girl age, 6 or 7 years old performed in front of the judges by dancing. One of the judges who's called Pier then started to press the buzzer since the dancing isn't as professional. This then makes the little girl cry who walked out getting her confidence squashed. If you want to watch the actual video,

click this.

Two people then debates, Person B and C. Who's right, who's wrong?

Person A: I like that some people here are like "piers is such a douche" so, every little kid that goes on the show should never get an X? Piers didn't like it, so he pressed the buzzer, that's what he is supposed to do, idiots.

Person B: Yes. They should never get an X. An X represents "I'd had enough of your shitty performance. Get the fuck out". Is it right to imply that to a child? A child's confidence can build up little by little, but once its gone, its hard to get it back. Not getting an X doesn't mean she will have to get through. he could have atleast let her finish and say No nicely and probably a little compliment so she won't feel ashamed.

Person C: And that's how you raise your kids to be insufferable douchebags.
What the fuck else did the kid expect on a show like this? I hope you never have kids.

Person B: Yeah, because when you have a kid, or if you already have one, you would let them put up with it themselves when this happened to them. How ignorant of you not to know that children under the age of 13 doesn't have as much self-esteem as grown-ups have. And nothing really was wrong with what she did to get a buzzer. She was dancing probably as good as average kids does. And you can already see in Pier's face that he regretted doing that so really, we already know who's wrong.

Person C: Then it's the parents' fault for letting their kid on the show, knowing full well how it's like.
So you're suggesting the show's format be changed because a little girl shouldn't be saddened by it?
It's people like you who feel the need to sugarcoat society who fuck up the future by filling it up with insufferable, delusional douchebags who can't admit to fucking up when they do.
Blame the parents, not the world around them, dumbass.

Person B: I bet not even her Mum or any member of her family knew that she will get a buzz since she's not doing anything stupid like other contestants do who totally deserved it. And I never said the format should be changed. All I'm saying is Pier should know how a person feels regardless of their age and their situation their in. There's always a right time for a child to manage on her own at situations like this. Is it hard to put this little things in your tiny brain? Oh wait, you don't have one.

I mostly believe person C is right.
That is a serious contest. A 6-year old, unprepared girl had nothing to do in that place.

Edit: Indeed, he could have waited until she was finished just for the sake of kindness, but still.

Person C. This is a contest and the judges can't have bias just because it's a little kid. If so, everyone would just put their little kids on the show and it would become a joke. As "cute" as it is, nobody came to see a little kid try their interpretation of dance. They came to see people with actual talent, hence the name "Britain's Got Talent."

seems like you don't get the situation. Not buzzing off a contestant doesn't mean they'll let them through the next round. Its just coping with the situation the child is in.

Yes I know how the game show works. However there is rarely a circumstance where someone gets buzzed and they still get enough votes to go to the next round.

But what I was saying is that Piers saw she didn't have talent, so he buzzed her, and there's nothing wrong with that. He was just doing his job.

first off, its a talent show. Not game show.

Secondly, its a kid. People should learn how to cope and to act in certain circumstances. And to do that is part of a judge's job.

You know Simon right? The other judge. He's known for his strict opinions and truthful personality which often leads people into tears and embarrassment. Even that so, he knows how to act on certain situations which is the reason why you won't see him buzzing off the kid.

Its just like how you wouldn't swear around the room with 5-10 year old kids around you, or sleep inside the church or mess around with strangers in public or copy somebody's paper in an exam. Its called coping with the situation.
