Name: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu)
Author: Nagaru Tanigawa
Studio: Kyoto Animation
Genre: Comedy, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Shounen.
Status: Finished: 28 episodes.

Synopsis: Kyon, your typical high school student, has long given up his belief in the supernatural. However, upon meeting Haruhi Suzumiya, he quickly finds out that it is the supernatural that she is interested in; aliens, time travelers and espers among other things. When Haruhi laments about the lack of intriguing clubs around school, Kyon inspires Haruhi to form her own club. As a result, the SOS Brigade is formed, a club which specializes in all that is the supernatural.

Much to his chagrin, Kyon, along with the silent bookworm, Yuki Nagato, the shy and timid Mikuru Asahina, and the perpetually smiling Itsuki Koizumi, are recruited as members. The story follows the crazy adventures that these four endure under their whimsical leader, Haruhi. (From MyAnimeList.net)

If you don't mind the genre. It's mostly just humor. Not very shounen imo, but....it's not shoujo either.

Yeah, she looked better that way.
Yuki was even more moe than Mikuru at times.
Kyon is probably my favorite, since he's always sarcastic.

My favorite fight scene ever is between Yuki and Asakura.

I have a question though. Do you have to watch the 2nd season to understand disappearance?

Not really. You'll understand it as you go on. The light novel is a bit easier to follow though.
@dbzfannie Lol Well, they are both bishies xD

Yeah, but some of the descriptions are kinda off (In the novel) They say Asakura has medium length hair (but it's draw past her waist lol) and Yuki has black hair in the novel for some reason.

But seeing something animated is always great.

Yeah. Sometimes it's hard to understand the plot. (Like the mystery murder story) But the anime makes it more simple.
