now if your gonna be here just to flame me then just leave. if your gonna post a reply actually put some thought in your post. im not here to start a war. im just here to put a opinion.

Recently people have asked me the question on why i dont play FPS (First Person Shooters). There are actually a number of reasons but before i start there let me put out there that i DID at one point and still do like earlier FPS like Goldeneye for the 64 and medal of honor for ps1 and ps2. but as the generation went on things got out of hand. and here is where my reasons come in

1. little to almost no story: nowadays online play is so big that the game is basically made for online. sure there is a story mode but the story is so bad that its not even worth it.

2. complete and vulgar retards: wether its Halo,COD, or gears. the online play is filled with testosterone retards thinking that just cause they kill you there god. when i play online i play to have fun. if i wanted to compete id go to a tournament.

3. the Fanbase: Fanboys (and Fangirls) are so close minded to new ideas that if a game doesnt have guns, awesom HD Graphics or blood then it sucks. i kid you not i was at Gamestop buying Silent Hill downpour and when this guy asked for a reccomendation and he was showed a wii game he tossed it aside and said "LAME" and asked where the COD section was

4. just cause someone plays COD does not make them a gun expert. i have actually seen COD fanboys claim this

5. the games come out so quickly that its obviouse that little or no time is being put in them. i see very few diffrences from MW3 and black ops

6. Graphics isnt everything: back in the day on good ol SNES we didnt need graphics to keep us interested. we had story and what FPS we did have (like Doom) had a good story to keep you playing. so tell me what keeps you playing now? eye candy?

i can go on and on but i will stop at 6. i belive this is enough to strike conversation. so as said earlier reply with some smarts in your head
to date i have won 18 tournaments
thanks to icanhealdumplings for the sig and _nuts_ for the avi

I agree with pretty much everything you said. I don't indulge in FPS myself.

I also remember the days when the lack of graphics kept us entertained anyway, but I feel like those I tolerated just because there was nothing better at the time. The only games from that era that I still find myself playing are Mario and Pokemon, but lol.

I completely agree with you. Although online play may be fun, there are many retards out there that just ruin the game for everyone. I'd also like to add something; the game designers should be much more careful when making a game. There are many people that have the knowledge to hack a game and wreck it for other players.

You have a good point. The reason why they mostly focus on online is cuz that's the area where most people are interested and those assholes are not creating the game for other sakes well sure but mostly , they earn shit load of money.

On some things, I agree, very much so. Such as the gun expertise, the children, and the story lines. The people who buy guns and test them and study the guns, shit, all power to them, but the people who play Call of Duty and think that they could go to war and just run through the enemy battle fields and be okay as long as the enemy is using (for example) a M60 since it has so much recoil is just ridiculous. I usually don't put my mic in, but when I do, it's to put bitches back in there place. The kids, the kids... I've often debated to myself on whether or not it should be illegal to give kids M rated video games, or any games not rated for their age, but of course, who listens to a regular citizen? I wish maturity came quicker. The story lines of FPS games are useless to me. They are, like you said, mainly multiplayer games. I don't see the problem with that, but they could at least make the story lines interesting. Then again, it probably boils down to the fact that they know kids like violence and all have some sort of ADD, so they don't focus much on a long campaign. Although, Gear's story line is amazing for all the right reasons, but hey, that's a TPS, technically.

As technology progresses, you expect it to be better, no? Well, yeah you do, because you don't progress backward. Nice looking things are appealing to people, and although I myself do enjoy looking at nice, pretty graphics, I love old games! I haven't touched my N64 in years, mainly because Pokemon Stadium broke and I was like "Fuck it, xbox time.", but I would go back if I could find a decently priced copy of a Mario game. Once again, it's because of the attention span of children. If I held two pennies to you, one was a shiny, new 2012 penny, and one was an ancient, moldy 1974 penny, and you could only take one, which one would you take? The attention span theory applies to the renewal of the games each year as well.

CoD has a mute option - I'm sure Xbox, PS3 & PC feature a block communication option, so problem with people acting like they're amazing because they beat you?

Learn to press a button, and ignore children.

2- Online play is fun with people u know.
3- It gets competitive when u play GB.
4- Just ignore the fags who think they're experts. (Its a videogame to have fun)

Nuff said.

Even though it is true in some cases, kids do think that.

3. the Fanbase: Fanboys (and Fangirls) are so close minded to new ideas that if a game doesnt have guns, awesom HD Graphics or blood then it sucks. i kid you not i was at Gamestop buying Silent Hill downpour and when this guy asked for a reccomendation and he was showed a wii game he tossed it aside and said "LAME" and asked where the COD section wasFor one thing, I would most likely do the same thing to a wii game. Wii is just no fun compared to the Kinect, when it comes to that category.

4. just cause someone plays COD does not make them a gun expert. i have actually seen COD fanboys claim thisLet them think what they want.

5. the games come out so quickly that its obviouse that little or no time is being put in them. i see very few diffrences from MW3 and black opsThere are many differences, whether it be guns, graphics, storyline, perks, or gameplay in general ._.

6. Graphics isnt everything: back in the day on good ol SNES we didnt need graphics to keep us interested. we had story and what FPS we did have (like Doom) had a good story to keep you playing. so tell me what keeps you playing now? eye candy?Well obviously because of technology growing so fast, you would think better graphics = better game, but truthfully what more can you do to multiplayer? Different game modes, guns, perks, and maps, but nothing that would actually be NEW. Plus it just reminds you of what generation you live in if you do not want to play a game simply because of graphics.

i can go on and on but i will stop at 6. i belive this is enough to strike conversation. so as said earlier reply with some smarts in your head
I'm bad at debates. That is just my personal opinion.

CD4 Modern warfares story was kinda cool actually, but otherwise I agree.

I'm sick of 9 year olds quick scoping me. It hurts my pride way to much.

That and FPS' make me rage some times, and I'm not sure why.
