Long ago, there was a pirate crew rumored to be so powerful that even the combined forces of a million men would be no match for the crew of 20, known as the Doomsday Pirates. However, as all humans eventually do, they died. Of course, these legendary pirates were not killed in battle, but rather by a mysterious disease. This disease killed countless numbers of pirates and marines until a cure was made years later. However, as a result, the treasure of numerous pirate crews, including that of the legendary Doomsday pirates, was lost. This treasure is rumored to be as large or even larger than Roger's treasure, One Piece.
Today, Grandline has been swarmed by countless pirate crews, all searching for treasure. The Strawhats, Whitebeard Pirates, and Blackbeard pirates are among three of the big crews searching for the treasure of One Piece. As they sailed across the seas, they discovered a treasure map that lead to the location of the Doomsday Crew's treasure. However, they were not the only ones who found the map. Hoping to find a clue to the location of Raftel, countless pirate crews descended upon the location along with the Strawhats, Whitebeards, and Blackbeards. In order to compete, these crews began looking for new nakama with great strength and loyalty.
Do you have what it takes to join the grand Age of Pirates? The fight for One Piece has begun!
The Path to Becoming a Pirate
To join into the grand pirate era and sail the grand line with our family, you must first pass our recruitment process. It is a four phase process that takes a minimum of a week to be complete. Over this time, you will be tested by various challenges and foes. Only the toughest and loyal pirates will be invited to join in on our search for One Piece.
Phase 1: The Application
The first part of the process is to post your application on this thread. Here are some things to keep in mind while filling out the application:
For all applicants:
-Make it understandable. Don't use 1337 speak or ridiculous abbreviations that no one will ever decipher.
-Fill out all applicable questions. If you do not, you run a high risk of being automatically rejected or ignored.
-Our general requirements are a highest streak of +30 and a highest level of 31. These are not 100% in stone requirements, but are a key factor.
-Use links (not the img tags) for your works. It makes your app shorter and easier to read rather than just a wall of gfx.
-Post some sort of variety of works. It helps.
Applying as: Ingamer/GFXer/Combo

If applying with GFX, program of choice:

Please answer 2 of the following 5 questions in a sentence or two each:
Why do you want to join AoP?
How talkative are you on the chat?:
What are some highlights of your N-A/N-B career?:
How familiar are you with AoP members?:
What is your general impression with AoP on N-B? On N-A?:
Phase 2: Interview
After posting your application, it will be looked over a captain or leader. If we feel that you meet our initial standards, we will accept you for further evaluation. At this point you will receive a PM from a captain or leader with the next phase of the process. In the PM, you will receive another five questions that will require a bit more depth than the previous questions and will be a bit more personal, thus you will only need to answer two of them. After you PM your answers back to the captain, there will be a minimum of one week before you get an acceptance (rejections can be shorter as we would not want to waste your time). During this waiting period, phase 3 occurs.
Phase 3: Testing
This phase starts once you receive acceptance on our clan thread. The test is different based on which path you chose, gfx or ingame. However, for both paths, you should be at the clan chat and attempt to get to know some members as this will allow for us to see how you fit in with the clan as a whole.
You will be required to pb test with various members of the clan during this time period. The test is in the hands of the tester. A general guideline to this is to avoid pb testing with non-ingamers as it will not actually contribute to your application.
If accepted for the gfx test, a gfx captain will PM you with the GFX test. It will consist of a set of stocks to make pieces with.
Phase 4: Invitation
During the evaluation week, we will discuss your entry into the clan. Aspects we will consider include your pb skills, personality, how well you mesh with the clan, etc. If we deem these to be at our standards, we will invite you to join the Age of Pirates and sail the grand line with us.
Good luck to all applicants!
