appologise if this topic has already been brought up

i have been thinking (again lol)

tobi/madara says to konan that with his uchiha and newly added senju dna 2 of the six paths are now one... he later says that nagato's rinnegan is the 3rd path...

so i think it is safe to say some of the 6 paths and there meaning are:

senju (body)
uchiha (spirit)
rinnegan (life/death)
ten tails (chakra)
the sages 5 treasures/weapons (tools)

if you notice these are all things that made the sage great and things that are known to belong to him or that were used by him (the meanings are my own thoughts so not sure if thats what the paths represent) sooo...

what do you guys think the last path is??

i've had some theories but not really found one i like...

i like the idea of the last path being uzumaki (seals) since seals are such a big part of the Naruto world... but then i thought tobi/madara would have said nagato is the 3rd and 4th paths as he was uzumaki as well as having the rinnegan

i also like the idea of the last path being all 5 of the previous put together

the 6th path maybe obvious and i'm missing it but i guess it has to be something the sage had/used (i also thought about his staff he wielded, or necklace he wore) ...

any thoughts??

I've been pondering this one for a while as well, and after these last couple of chapters the tool path seems very likely so i could see that as well aas the ten-tails chakra.

but as for the sixth path i have done some research on it and the staff is famous in Buddhist culture, which so far kishi is very fond of using as a themes and objects. the ring staff is most commonly seen are those with six rings which have also been claimed to represent the six states of existence (humans, animals, hell, hungry ghosts, gods, and asuras). or as we know them, the paths of pain.

So this makes me think that the final path is the necklace he wore that we have seen on naruto during his kyuubi transformation. it might be a reference to the Yasakani Jewel; a legendary magatama necklace that is part of the Japanese Imperial Regalia, together with the Kusanagi Sword and the Yata Mirror. The Yasakani Jewel is the only one of these treasures yet to make an official appearance in the series. which makes me possibly believe that itachi was in possesion of this path and gave it to naruto.

sorry its long winded but im a college student that loves to dig up interesting research

yeh i read those wiki aswell i like the idea of the necklace, it's been seen twice now (on naruto and the sage) i think that path could be (mind) or something! (like mind, body, spirit trio) i think the fact naruto has it will be like the last piece of madara's 6 path puzzle this would make madara vs naruto a must fight for madara to become whole... i think in the end...

naruto vs sasuke & madara... sasuke ends up helping naruto defeat madara and naruto gains all 6 paths so he can destroy the 10 tails that madara unleashed... just a theory of course but one that fits quite well and ends with naruto being the modern day sage

so this is my proposal of the six paths... yes its similar to Tadden's but it makes alot of sense

1. Uchiha (mind)
2. Senju (body)
3. Rinnegan (spirit)
4. Ten Tails (chakra)
5. The sages tools/treasures (the current 5 we've seen plus his staff possibly)
6. The Necklace otherwise known as the Yasakani Jewel (check my previous post)

the sixth one is still up in the air but being as that weve seen the necklace as his prominant feature should tell us something... but the first 5 make perfect sense since the sage was capable of all of them.

i have to agree... i like the idea the rinnegan is spirit as it is all about life and death cycle of the spirit.

personally ive been thinking of the six paths as related to certain clans such as the first three paths were
1.uchiha
2.senju
3.the rinnegan( which is different but negato was a member of the uzumaki clan)

so maybe there are three other clans in possesion of some skill, ability or belonging that gave the sage of the six paths his abilities

That necklace was destroyed. Also i think the same way. There are 6 paths and there is only one that we 100% know of.The Rinnengan. And maybe the 5 tools, but i think they were created after the other paths were mastered.

Everyone's thinking of different necklaces. The one the Six Paths Sage has been shown wearing is made up of comma-like items whereas the necklace Naruto had was given from Tsunade and destroyed during his battle against Pein.

yeh the necklace we mention is the one around the sages neck and shown around narutos neck when he is in the new kyuubi mode...

and there is more than 1 path we can be sure of... madara said to konan that 3 paths are rinnegan, senju and uchiha... i'm pretty sure the 10 tails is one as well as the 5 tools... the only thing i can think of next is the sages staff or the necklace he and naruto are seen with

im pretty sure that the second sage was the sages son who was given his eyes, cause in one of the new episodes it showed his eyes look just like the rinnegon not the sharingon, so he would be the second and nagato the third
