Team Renegade vs Team Neomorphis [round 1 of NB got Gfx-Talent]

#1 This is one of the first battles of NB got Gfx-Talent. The Teams participating in this battle are Team Renegade and Team Neomorphis Team Renegade________________________vs__________Team Neomorphis Good luck to both teams n_n Just post which work you like the most =] Rules -Votes will be counted by posts -You must have 200 or more posts to vote -You are not allowed to vote for your own team( but you can still vote for the opponents if you want) -You can only vote once and only for 1 entry -Voting will be opened for 1 day Entries of Team Renegade(Theme was photo-manipulation): entry1: entry2: stock used: stock1 stock2 stock3 stock4 stock5 entry 3: entry4: Entries of Team Neomorphis(Theme was C4D's): entry5: entry6: entry7: entry8: entry9: entry10: Judges Opinion: Sandmanxx23: I believe that Team Neomorphis won this contest. Let me start by saying all the entries were good, some better than others. However for Team Renegade, I believe entry #2 was the best. It was the cleanest, crispest one out of all the entrys for their team. Um, I'll try to give a little CnC for all the tags for Team Renegade. Entry 1 Great idea, however, the blending by the head of the lion could of been crisper, and the background needed some more spazz to it. Entry 2 Answered above. I liked this one. Entry 3 Um, this one had a good idea as well. However, the flower looked sort of messy, it was also sort of oversized. The colors needed some work. Background was nice, nice use of blur. Entry 4 Lol, this entry made me lol. It is very crisp and clean, I really liked this one as well. Now for Team Neomorphis. I thought entry number 4 for Neomorphis was the best one. The colors were beautiful, and everything was crisp. Now for their CnC. Entry 5 I liked this one, it had a good first impression to it. The lighting is nice, and the font fits in well. Entry 6 I liked this one as well. It has a nice look to it. Though somewhat simple. Entry 7 It was a little too small, the font looks very good though. The texture all works together. Entry 8 Best, I really liked it. Entry 9 This one is also very nice, I love the idea in it and the shading of everything. Entry 10 This one was really simple and plain, lol. Sorry. So, thats what about. Very good job both teams, but a congrats to Team Neomorphis. Fallen_Moon: I will start with Team Renegade. Entry1: Its nice but for my taste the compo is just too simple, it could also need some more work on the transition between tiger and flames, but i like how the flames have the outline of the tiger body, the background is too blurry for my taste and doesn't show much variety. Entry2: I have to agree with Sand, this entry is really the best entry of Team Renegade. The main concept is good and the execution as well, there are only 2 things i would really criticize about this work. The girls dress could be cut out better at some areas and at some areas the lightning is kinda off for example the wolf on the very right has a different light source like the main piece. entry3:the main concept is ok but the execution is just too sloppy, also i can't point out a main lightsource that applies to the body and the flowerhead as well, as for the background, good use of blurring to create depth, although at some areas the blurring seems too much. entry4:The main concept is just too simple, also i am not a fan of the colors. Now to Team Neomoprphis: entry5:I think the main concept had some potential, would had wished to see more play with the mirrors, the main issue of this work is that the lighttransition could really need more work, also the text takes away too much from the focal, the reflection effect is nice. entry6:colors are good, but the whole piece looks kinda random with those the background that doesn't seem to interact with c4d at all and the messy c4d itself. entry7:the text kills it really, the overall compo could need more structure, some parts look to over-sharpened, also to me the negative space doesn't support the tag too well. entry8:concept is ok but the execution could need work, really sloppy at some parts especially at the transition between c4d's and human body, also the splatters are too sharp and are just creating messiness. The thing is that there are many effects that doesn't seem to work too well with each other. entry9:its too bright, its hard to see the details, also colors are too monotone, they could be more vibrant, the compo itself could need more structure. entry10:first symmetry tag i saw in this contest, colors are nice the concept and the compo are quite simple, but they would work if there would had been more work on lightning All in all i think both teams did a good job and i would say that if i look at the teams as one there would be a draw, but the work which pop out the most to me is entry2 of Team Renegade, so i would say Team Renegade did the better job in this round =O NB showcase

#5 I'm torn between the 2nd, and the 8th entry, based on my first impressions and the judges' opinions. As a final decision, I'll go with Entry #2, and team Renegade ^Click it, yo.

#11 I would vote 5 or 6, I like both actualy, not sure if that matters if I vote 5 or 6, but if I have to chose 1 of those, then I would say tag 5... it shows just a little more appeal to me, it has a nice dept, the text is pretty good and the placement of all elements is also pretty good, although the compo imo is a bit to centered... ;) oops, sorry, just read I cant vote, although my design knowledge is probably more then most, I dont have 200 plus post count... and probably wont get that any time soon, since there is not alot that I can post on... :S Class: 'High' Intermediate ~~ Member of: Team Illustradoz
