I moved this to NB in hope more gfxers would like to participate in this contest.
I know many people make such contest and they never let it end, i promise that this contest will be kept alive till the very end. If i break this promise i will punch myself and post pics of my punched face.

Concept:
I think the uinique part of this Gfx contest is that you can either join this contest alone or join it with a team. This contest will last a maximum of 4 weeks, depending on how much people participate it my even finish faster. There is no limit on how many can join. Registration will be opened around 5 till 10 days from the day this thread is posted. Also i think a big difference from this contest and others is that you are allowed to enter premade works, but that also means that anonymousness won't take a big part in the votings. Also every team, even if that team consists of only 1 member, is allowed to sent 1 till 10 entries for their battle. Votingsystem will be explained later.

Rules:
-All general NB rules apply
-if you enter something that wasn't made from you you are dead(your team will get dq'd if even just 1 member enters some ripped work, exceptions can be made regarding the situation)
-Premade works are allowed
-You can't enter a work of yours that you already used in a previous round in this contest
-the work your enter can be any kind of gfx work( e.g. tag, lp, factal work, c4d work, ...)
-there are no size limits
-If an entered work doesn't fit the theme given it will be dq'd
-If all entries of an team get dq'd or the team doesn't enter something within the time limit, that team will get dq'd from the contest
-If someone is caught cheating, that means if we catch someone who obviously says to other people to vote for their work, they will get dq'd

Voting:
first some general Voting rules:
-Votes will be counted by posts
-You must have 200 or more posts to vote
-You are not allowed to vote for your own team( but you can still vote for the opponents if you want)
-You can only vote once
Now i will try to explain how the votes will be counted.
The team with the tag that earned the most votes wins.
That means if Team 1 enters one gfx work and Team 2 enters 3 gfx works and the results look like this:

entry of team 1: 20 votes
entry 1 of team 2: 19 votes
entry 2 of team 2: 19 votes
entry 3 of team 2: 19 votes

In the end team 1 would win since their gfx work gained the most votes.
You can use this system to try out some strategies. For example it would be quite stupid if a team enters 5 tags with the same style, since normally that would mean that people who like that style will spread their votes within those 5 entries. If you think closely enough you can come up with an strategy that can help you win. Also this way of voting will also allow more experienced gfxers to team up with "newbies" at gfxing.
Also at the Beginning of every votingthread the opinions of 2 judges will posted and this opinion should include CnC of a maximum 4 of gfx works participating in that gfx battle and also the opinion of the judge which gfx work he thinks shoudl win that battle.
The voting threads will be opened for 24 hours. After this 24 hours the votes will get counted.

Judging:
Judges will be assign to judge the works and pm me their opinions of the gfx work of the upcoming battles they are up to judge. Judges should pm me their opinions before the voitng topics are released. Also judges will dq entries if they don't see how that gfx work fits the theme in any way. Judges are not allowed to take part in this contest.

Theme-Choice:
In the first round your opponents will choose the theme for you. If your opponents don't send me a theme for you or if your opponents send me a theme that is not executable for your Team(judges will decide if a theme is executable or not) than your team will get the theme freestyle.

mini banner( max size 200x300): this is optional
team name: not optional
speaker of the team: not optional ( speaker of a team sends me the theme for their opponents)
showcase of teamspeaker: optional
member A: optional
showcase of member A: optional
member B: optional
showcase of member B: optional
member C: optional
showcase of member C: optional
member D: optional
showcase of member D: optional

Teammembers amount is a minimum of 1and a maximum of 5

how long do gfx?: optional

Depending on how many people join this contest the amount of how many judges we need will be clear afterwards.

Prize:
-a winners badge for your team
-bragging rights
-maybe something else if i find something

All rounds will be knock-out stages =O
All teams have 1 day to submit a theme for their opponents, if no theme will be submitted or if the theme submitted is non-executable for your opponent team, your opponent team will get the theme freestyle.
If you want you can contact your opponents and make some kind of agreement regarding the theme.

Progress of the Contest:

Round 2 has begun and the themes were already announced
The themes are:

Theme of Battle 1: Black and white
Theme of Battle 2: vector work
Theme of Battle 3: scratch work ( all elements of your entry must be made by you, there are no resources allowed)
Theme of Battle 4: water
Theme of Battle 5: Typography

The votes will be counted:

All the votes you gained in a battle will be counted together and will be divided by the amount of entries a team entered, than the average votes of every team will be compared and the 2 with the most votes will succeed to the final =O
Also you don't have to enter in every battle, but for every battle you don't participate you will get minus 1 vote from your average votes =O
Also if a team is the only team participating in a battle it will get plus 1 to their average votes.

You will have time till Saturday the 27th of this month for entering your entries in the battles

you post the application here
and the speaker of the team is also allowed to participate in the events, he is just a member like anyone else in the team but with a bit more responsibility
