does anyone know why kakashi possess mangekyou sharingan?
did he kill his best friend? :confused

no he got it by doing something that let him get it
and you don't have to kill your best friend to get it

no he trained his sharingan into great weapon to warp time like yondaime well iam not quite sure about it but his mangekyou doesnt same like yondaime time space jutsu(Hiraishin No jutsu) :noworry

kakaashi has trained and he have chakra thats why he posses the mangekyou:teeth

I don't know when, but during the manga, Kakashi developes a technique that allows him to use the Mangekyou Sharingan. No, he doesn't kill his best friend. He developes a special kind of seal that temporarily gives him the Mangekyou Sharingan. The only technique Kakashi can use at his current level is to be able to transport objects to a different dimension. He can only use it twice in one day. After two uses, Kakashi usually passes out or needs to rest. There is also something that tells you how he got the sharingan.

NOTICE this is back when we first find out that he had it not up to date with the manga as of yet

He got the Sharingan from Obito, right, who was also his best friend. By remembering such memories, he awaken the Mangekyou.

neither obito or kakashi killed their best friend. it doesn't actually make sense that kakashi possesses the mangekyou...but then again maybe it's just one of this anime's mysteries :P
