Phase 1___________________________________________________________________________________________
<•> The story of Twilight of Spirits begins more than a year back. Two friends, Albedo and the now known megaTORN, had been discussing Albedo's hopes and dreams of running a clan himself. These discussions spanned many key components which would later serve as the foundations of Twilight of Spirits. Such matters as what image they wanted to portray, and how the clan would be administered were amongst the subjects debated at these meetings. With the flow of constant ideas, and the effort to make these ideals a reality, all seemed to be marching along smoothly in its appropriate course. Then, calamity struck: Albedo ultimately lost hope in The Project and came to believe it wasn't worth completing. The combined efforts of these two men had now deteriorated to one. The Project's realization seemed destined to be simply discarded; forgotten as nothing more than an obsolete stage of common imagination.
<•> Then, shortly thereafter, another major event took place which altered the course of Twilight of Spirits's history. A third individual, Zabuza21 now known as Oxis, became a part of this premature scene. Oxis used everything in his power to ensure the survival and initiation of The Project. Ultimately, he came to fight day in and day out to persuade megaTORN to officially establish the clan. The fruits of his labor were first seen when on January 20th, 2009 Twilight of Spirits raised its flag amongst the many other new clans. It had been less than a week since the official founding of Soul Arena.
At long last, the clan had finally been born; The Project had officially been initiated. At the very beginning of Twilight of Spirits's tale, however, the newly formed cult seemed not to have any unique characteristics or any remarkable traits. Nothing made Twilight of Spirits stand out: not its in-game capabilities, not its graphics, absolutely nothing.
Even with the odds stacked against them, the Ancients of Twilight of Spirits pushed forward. They pursued the ideals with which the clan had been established, and never ceased their journey of discovering new ways with which to improve their Nation.
<•> Most of the other clans created during the start of consciousness on Soul Arena had already disappeared. Yet Twilight of Spirits was still more than alive and well. Each new glorious morning brought with it the satisfaction of growth, of unification, and of prosperity. It was during this period that Twilight of Spirits gained some of the most prolific members in the Arena: from Electrofrost, one of our best in-gamers; to Soifon, also a champion at in-gaming and an excellent leader.
Slowly but steadily our influence increased, as did our popularity. The clan began to take on such members as Mike_Punker, now known as Onigami, and Grimm_. This duo is largely responsible for the mind rape caused by our innovating graphics, and needless to say constitute Twilight of Spirits's best graphics designing combo.
Many different individuals, each with their own unique personalities and superior talents in an array of fields, attained the Twilight of Spirits rank and contributed to our prosperity.
<•> Now with the First Phase of history behind them, the members of Twilight Nation carried on with the hope of expanding even further.
Phase 2___________________________________________________________________________________________
<•> The period immediately following the Phase One came to be dictated by two opposing elements: activity and inactivity.
<•> There seemed to be times when activity within the ranks of Twilight was at its peak. In contrast to these hot spots, there were times when it seemed that the members had simply forgotten about their pride. This interchanging from periods of activity to periods of inactivity, and vice versa, lead to a chaotic instability within the clan. The reputation Twilight had achieved for its elite skills in the art of in-gaming was declining, and this decline was only accelerated with the sudden loss of Electrofrost. The leaders, more than troubled by the deterioration of Twilight, decided that hosting a Recruitment Tournament would be one of many possible solutions to the current crisis which was pinning the clan down. Many fine warriors placed forward their applications once they had seen this call to battle. At the end of this fierce competition, the leaders found a beautiful gem amongst the rocks: DutchShinobi.
<•> A champion of the Arena, and a beast in many other arts, DutchShinobi became Twilight's new hope for regaining its old glory at the game. With his entrance into the ranks of the clan, there were also many hopes of reestablishing a permanent period of activity. But alas, the situation did not improve as had been expected. If anything, the activity and stability of Twilight only decayed ever further into dead man's abyss. Members had stopped signing on altogether, and the general processes of the clan saw a sheer decrease in completion. In short, the most repulsive epoch of inactivity had crawled its way into the very foundations of Twilight.
<•> It was during this time of crisis that the leaders of Twilight decided to take a monumental step further. This step would later on prove to be perhaps the wisest decision ever undertaken by the higher ranks of the clan: it was time to move Twilight's influence to the source of creation, Naruto Arena.
By now becoming a dual clan, with establishments on both Soul Arena and Naruto Arena, those which proudly held the rank of Twilight member had attained new hopes: that the expanding to the antiquated land of Naruto Arena would mean the start of a more powerful inner clan unification, and a wave of new souls entering the clan would end the drought of uncertainty which had come to sickeningly define Twilight of Spirits.
Thus began Twilight's legend on Naruto Arena - and whilst many fine individuals of the highest class joined our ranks from this new land, the overall status of Twilight remained virtually the same.
<•> megaTORN, not the type to idly sit by while his clan was being dismantled, decided to take control of the effort to bring back solidity to the inner functions of Twilight. He began to abruptly take such methods as recruiting at a much brisker pace. There were times when he did not even consult his peers beforehand. Yet, with time being the most crucial factor in determining the survival of the clan, fresh blood was the oil which would be essential to keep Twilight from becoming inoperable.
<•> With the flow of new members - mainly fresh blood from the new establishment at Naruto Arena, and their encouraging mindsets, the clan was gradually shifting to an energetic part of its history. Even with this sluggish alteration of the times, however, the overall performance of Twilight had only just been enriched. megaTORN, not in the slightest content with the status quo, began calling out a number of his members. He questioned the dedication and resolve of these members in regards to Twilight. It was during this chapter of interrogations that a scandalous incident occurred: a skirmish between megaTORN and a potential leader to the clan resulted in the latter's complete departure from Twilight.
When the news reached the eyes of the Twilight members, it created a dense atmosphere of astonishment. This individual's leaving was a kick in the teeth to every last active and remaining member of Twilight. Several meetings were convoked after the fiasco with the purpose of determining what route the clan should undertake. Numerous possibilities had been put forward, amongst them was the frivolous proposition of disbandment.
<•> The few active members which had endured debated the destiny of their Nation in these meetings. Ultimately, after quite a few interchange of opinions, a consensus was reached: The members would not allow Twilight to be simply thrown out. They would use everything in their power to start a phase of reconstruction. The coalesce of the efforts of both leaders and members was to finally start the Golden Stage in the perpetual saga of Twilight of Spirits.
<•> The seemingly never-ending depression of the Second Stage was at its close. The members kept their vows, and through their determination Twilight has now entered its long awaited Golden Age. With our influence, popularity, and bonds; both within our ranks and outside of these, at their peak Twilight has pierced the archaic boundaries first set by the Ancient Clans. We've even had the pleasure to welcome back some of our first, and most respected, members.
<•> At the end of a Stage filled with dilemma after dilemma, Twilight of Spirits stands as formidable as ever. The troubled times unified the clan, and it was this unification which allowed it to carry on through the tempest of pandemonium.
Phase 3___________________________________________________________________________________________
<•> More than a year has now transpired since Twilight of Spirits was first founded. In these past 365 days, we have both accomplished what is expected of elite clans and introduced an incalculable amount of innovation to all the fields of the Arena universe.
In the past our instability and inactivity had begun to slowly define us. Now in the present, and with no doubt the future, it is our uncanny ability to ascend to new heights while always using the original morals and goals of our foundation to guide us which have come to define us.
Though compared to the Ancient Clans we are still relatively young, we now stand amongst the best of the best - and we shall continue to do so.
<•> During this current Golden Age, we have been blessed to witness nothing but prosperity - the likes of which were last seen quite a while ago, during Phase One of our existence. A permanent period of activity has been established, new recruits have entered our ranks and made the field of Twilight of Spirits a much more dynamic and entertaining shelter for both members and valued guests.
<•> Twilight of Spirits has gradually, slowly but surely, been regaining its old fame for its excellence in the art of the in-game. The inner structures of the clan are strengthening with the passage of each day, and our already superb relations with the rest of the community are on the rise. The clan is being bombarded with events from every angle: from being directly invited to prestigious clan competition tournaments, to hosting quite a few inner clan events; including such activities as forum games meant to ease our members and guests. Our members, and those which have ventured to witness our Saga, could not be happier with these times of light.
<•> On February 16th, 2010 an unexpected occurrence impacted the Arena universe: the future, a third Arena - War of Ninja (WoN) - was introduced through Naruto Arena to the members of the general community. Immediately after its official release, Twilight of Spirits became the scene for a series of debates as to whether or not it should expand to this virgin land; and whether those which were members on Naruto Arena and Soul Arena had to join on War of Ninja. Several Twilight of Spirits members fiercely defended what they believed was their right to join another clan on War of Ninja. Most of Twilight of Spirits, including the leaders and the Epitaphs at the time, were in complete disagreement: they feared that the division of the members into other groups would result in the arrival of times such as those experimented during the Second Phase - that all the effort put into reconstructing Twilight of Spirits would poof in a matter of hours.
Ultimately, the popular voice of the clan prevailed; and it was decided that all members and all recruits were to join on the three Arena sites.
<•> During this Phase, certain significant changes have occurred within the ranks of Twilight of Spirits.
X3ro0x, a man whose contributions to Twilight of Spirits cannot be expressed in mere words, took the honorable path of stepping down as Supreme Epitaph and giving another member the chance to take this position. Grimm_, whose strive to create new designs have startled hundreds, if not thousands, stepped down as Head Epitaph. X3ro0x is now a retired member of Twilight of Spirits, whilst Grimm_ is currently positioned as an Epitaph.
<•> Though it heartbroke us, and caused commotion throughout the ranks of Twilight of Spirits, one of the two founders of this clan decided that it was time to take his leave. This chapter in Twilight of Spirits's history, a rather recent chain of events, caught the Twilight of Spirits members completely off-guard; and created confusion similar to that lived during the scandal of the Second Phase skirmish. As opposed to the much older incident, however, the clan was able to quickly recover from this blow.
There is one reason in particular we managed to do so: every single last sacrifice, all the efforts and all the time dedicated to our family by this founder completely and utterly outweighed the fact that he was gone - the members could not help but be happy at all this man had achieved.
They could not be sad, nor angry at this fact. All they could do was smile and thank him for every last second invested into Twilight of Spirits.
It was unanimously decided that he would be honored, his name never forgotten, and that we would make him proud by continuing his work of always striving for better and better: no matter how perfect something seems, there will always without a doubt be something which can and should be enhanced.
<•> This Phase in our history, the Golden Age, has served to unify and solidify our existence as a family: we have learned from both the positive and negative experiences and now stand with our heads held up higher than ever.
Above everything else - the game, the graphics, outer clan communications, etc - it is our bonds which make us Twilight of Spirits.
<•> Phase Three has undoubtedly been the realization of the dreams of our founders. Though, we daresay that we haven't reached our maximum potential just yet: we're a long time's away from ever doing so.
