#1 •Welcome to the first ever Legends New Year Bash. This will be an enormous tournament thrown to kick off the new year. Our clan -LR- is very pleased to host this and we hope that it will bring great enjoyment to the many devoted players of the game. What we hope to see from this is an increase in inter-clan friendships and relations. Hopefully others will also feel inspired to throw similar events •The tournament will includes 80 of the arena's most elite. The first round shall be group stages to carry it to 32 players in round 2 where it can take on a natural elimination style flow. •Each round shall last a few days in order to allow time to find your respective opponents. Special team restrictions will be added for each new round to prevent over usage of generic teams and also to help keep things interesting *Prizes will be awarded to the players who come in 1st 2nd and 3rd. -LR- intends to throw other tournaments like this in the future, so winners names will also go down in the Hall of Fame and possibly we may throw the next one in honor of the winner's name. •Special thanks to -Kageboy- for creating the gfx for our tournament and also for lord_akatsuki and slavik for inspiring the idea. We also would like to congratulate the winner of Holiday Havoc 2, Niass, STAFF madcow- Yondaime10101 DasakeUchiha Narikku Nooblsice We can all be contacted by pm, or even more efficiently by visiting our clan chatroom TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE 1)The 80 players will be divided into 16 groups of 5. Once the groups are posted you will play 2/3 matches against every player in your group. Points will be awarded for each win points Victory 3-0 = 3 points Victory 2-1 = 2 point 2) An extra 2 days may be given for tie breakers. Depending on time constraints ties may be broken by random selection. 2 of the 5 players with the most accumulated points after all round 1 games will advance to round 2. 16x2=32 3)The tournament shall then take up an elimination style format with battles being 3/5 and with heavier team restrictions which will change each round. This will last until the semi finals. 32 -->16--->8--->4 4) The finals and the game for 3rd place will both be an epic 4/7 battle. The team restrictions for this round are already decided as neji+kin, gaara+lee, kakashi+zaku, kyuubi+chiyo are all banned. The 4 remaining players face each other, the 2 that lose must then face each other for third, while the remaining 2 must battle it out for the 2nd and 1st spot. #2 •In this round, players are all split into 16 groups of 5. •You will play every other player in your group. This will total 4 games each •All matches are 2/3 in this round. All 3 games should be played. it is to the advantage of the losing player to play the 3rd one to prevent the winner from getting 3 points • Points are accumulated at 3-0 victory = 3 points 2-1 victory = 2 points • The 2 players in each group of 5 who have accumulated the most points at the end of this round, will advance to the final 32. Read main thread for rules regarding unplayed matches or tie breakers. •Follow the team restriction for your group in every match •This round lasts for 6 days post all results on the thread, and preferably use the same post to keep updating. Madcow- is the referee for Groups A to H. #3 •In this rounds there are 32 players. They are all paired up with one opponent. •The winner from Group A is matched with runner up form Group B. Winner from Group B is matched with runner up from Group A. The same pattern repeats going down. (C+D), (E+F), (G+H) etc. •Your match will be 3/5.. This means there are a total of 5 matches, therefore the first to win 3 matches would be the winner.
