As a gift from me three years after the beginning of TIA on N-B, I am rewriting the history of this glorious clan, in far more detail than before. Three years of history is quite long. I'm not including the legend since that was written by Shika (with slight revisions from me). I hope you guys put this on the thread. Also, a coincidence when I found, the creator of the clan before TIA, HarisShinobida, has the same bday as TIA. So happy birthday to haris as well.
Humble Beginnings
The roots of TIA can be found in a small clan created in May 2007. HarisShinobida and TFR created Itachi's Akatsuki, a clan based on the theory that after Pein's death, Itachi became the leader of Akatsuki. As the leader, Haris became Itachi and TFR became Deidara. Haris recruited two friends to fill other leadership positions. Zikiban became Sasori and Schockblast became Kisame. With that, Itachi's Akatsuki was born.
Itachi's Akatsuki quickly attracted the attention of many NB members. It had a cool name, good gfx, and talented leaders, both in leadership and ingame prowess. However, without a clan chatbox or clan forum, all running of the clan was held in a single topic. It would, on average, receive 100 pages of posts per day. This activity attracted many players who were just joining their first clans. In mid-May, IA recruited several members who would brought the clan to new heights. These members were CommanderColin, Shikamaru181, Numanumanumaking, Tnaruto, Deathwarg(jp), Quickmoss, XSanosuke, and Anique_24. Along with members such as Kerdansky, who was known for his obsession with flaming, IA became a warring power.
Due to the obscene activity of the clan thread, and the obvious spamming that went on in it, the moderators of N-B were not fans of IA. The clan thread would be closed roughly twice a week for spamming. Members would constantly be warned and receive short bans. This only brought the clan closer, combining the shared love for N-A with the communal hatred of the mods. However, with every new topic, there would be much confusion. In order to prevent that CommanderColin (dubbed "CC" by TFR), created a forum for the clan. He sent out messages to all the members and quickly Shika, Anique, Numa, TFR, and Sano registered. However, not all would end up receiving the message due to the worst event in Naruto-Arena history. The infamous crash of 2007.
The crash is known to all players who joined N-A before June 2007. It is not certain what caused the crash, but the results were tragic. The entire site, both N-A and N-B, were inaccessible for a week. After two days, admins posted that the servers had crashed and they were working to fix them. Updates came daily as they worked on fixing the servers. Finally, on June 1st, N-A was back...but at an outrageous cost. All members who had registered past the very end of February 2007 were deleted. You can still see the result of this now. There are no accounts registered in the months of March, April, or May 2007. There are also countless accounts registered on the first three days of June 2007. As if this weren't bad enough, everyone, including those who did not lose their accounts, needed to unlock every character again.
Itachi's Akatsuki was sent into disarray as a result of the crash. With only six members who had been in contact, much was in doubt. However, Haris was contacted quickly and order was reestablished. IA continued on, outraging the mods even more. Increased activity in IA meant more posts, and more posts meant more topics for the mods to close. Eventually, there would have to be a new topic every day because they were continuously locked. Towards the end of June, IA seemed finish. MegamanX, a global mod, closed the last Itachi's Akatsuki member topic, with these words: "As a global moderator, I am allowed to decide whether a clan can exist or not. Itachi's Akatsuki is no more."
The Glorious Rebirth
As the members of Itachi's Akatsuki hid on their forum, its leaders began to plan how the clan could return to N-A. TFR had quit a few weeks before. Shock and Ziki had become inactive after the crash. The three who had been appointed to their former positions were CC, Anique, and Shika. With Haris going on a three week trip to Bosnia, the three co-leaders, or as they referred to themselves, the council, were on their own to rebuild IA. The three mulled over several ideas. Eventually, two options were left: returning under a secret name or recruit through PM. The former was selected and plans to reemerge on N-B commenced.
The first step was the name. However, the abbreviation, TIA was chosen first. This was because it was to stand for The Itachi's Akatsuki. The N-B name would be a cover to avoid mod detection. Shika came up with several names and put to vote. The name that the majority of the members picked was The Immortal Ancients. With the near unanimous vote, it was established as the cover name for IA, or now TIA.
As July began, work on the rebirth commenced. Anique and new member Mr_Cl33n made the gfx for the clan thread as Shika wrote it. CC set the forums up in his typical OCD fashion. A chatbox was created. On July 9, 2007, all work was complete and TIA was ready for N-B. The final step was the creation of alts. In order to make sure that no mods recognized the leaders, CC, Shika, and Anique made alts that would look like leaders until the three "joined" the clan. Later that day, the topic was posted and all members posted on the topic that they would join, in order to make it look less suspicious. Armed with beautiful gfx and the most loyal members one could dream of, Itachi's Akatsuki, as The Immortal Ancients, returned to N-B, with a vengeance.
Rise to Immortality
Recruits piled into TIA. Shika, CC, and Anique had effectively become a three-headed monster, spreading duties equally. Anique was in charge of recruitment and gfx, Shika headed the upkeep of the thread and headed relations with other clans. CC ran the chat and forums. However, the three were still waiting for Haris's return as overseer. However, after the three weeks, Haris had not returned. The three started to question what would happen without their leader. The three began discussing the possibility of removing him as leader, effectively throwing away Itachi's Akatsuki and truly becoming The Immortal Ancients. Shika pushed for the idea strongly, turning Anique first then CC. With the support of other older members, especially Numa, the three became the leaders of TIA, in a council like formation. Numa became a co-leader, along with Anique's friend from school, Rmmr143.
After officially tossing away the roots of IA, The Immortal Ancients began to flourish even more. The major players in the clan, in addition to the leaders, were Deathwarg(jp), Xyber4, Dangerdoom, Santana4242, Jamshaw, Deathgod93, Shadowposetion, ZeroAvix, Mastershika, and Quickmoss. Activity was through the roof. As August and September came around, TIA had become a monster. It boasted the greatest war record at the time, with wins against the likes of AC-R, Hebi, Fenrir, H-I, and other top notch clans. Few clans had the depth of TIA's war roster, a seven man roster with zero weaknesses. With Jp, Xyber, DD, Santa, Jam, Dg, and Numa as the main combatants, TIA frequently 5-0d even the best clans. TIA's glory wasn't just in wars. It was the most feared clan on the N-A ladder. It was said that you would find a member of TIA or the Ultimate Kages most frequently. If you got a UK member, you won 90% of the time. If you fought a TIA member, you lost 90% of the time.
Plummet to Earth
As fast as TIA came, it went. By the end of August, members were attacking each other. It was rare to have a day go by where there wasn't a flame war in the chatbox. However, the main problem came with Haris. He had recently come back and wanted his leadership position. Only the old IA members even knew who he was at this point. In order to compensate him, CC, Shika, and Anique let him take a co-leader position. This angered a lot of members as it seemed that a new person was just given a position. Before the issue developed into a complete fiasco, Haris left the clan. This came with a price. Numa quit the clan because of the drama. Though the floodgates may have stopped for now, TIA was teetering on the edge of disaster.
Kusanagi, a clan that had been successful before TIA's birth, was rebuilt in September. Rmmr had been in the clan before TIA, and immediately joined the new clan. He promised Anique a leadership position. At this, Anique resigned from his role as TIA's most famous leader (as he received almost all the glory from TIA) and joined Kusanagi. With his departure, TIA collapsed. DD, Santa, Jam, and DG followed Anique. Soon more left the clan because everyone else was leaving. In October, the clan was barely surviving. The final nail was CC's forced resignation as he had been grounded. Within a week, Shika disbanded the clan.
Fallen Angels of Hell
After TIA, Shika, Xyber, and Jp started another clan called Fallen Angels of Hell. FAH consisted of mostly old TIA members who stayed with the clan until its death. It was not active or competitive. It was more of a hang out for friends. When CC was eventually ungrounded, he joined as a regular member as he couldn't contribute as he had previously. The clan gained members such as TheUniverse, in addition to the loyal Shad, Tnaruto, and Zero. As 2008 rolled around, the three leaders contemplated a rebirth of TIA. They eventually decided to go through with it, and thus TIA was born.
The Glorious Return
The return of TIA, or as it is now called, TIA 2, was not a return to TIA's former power. Even though it still had the same reputation, it was fairly inactive and more of just a hangout, though more so than FAH had been. A main focus of TIA 2 was the Naruto Role Play forum that Shika and CC made. It was more part of the clan than N-A really was. This new TIA did bring new important faces. Zenaku20 was a new face in leadership with his role as a co-leader, as well as Gaara1334. Other important faces were two of Jp's recruits: NsFate18 and InuyashaBVanz, Wazup, -Judge-, who had been in Itachi's Akatsuki and was a school friend of Numa's, Lulu, Uzumaki14, and GrooovyBaby. The clan eventually became competitive in wars and was highly active with hosting tournaments. Eventually, inactivity wore down the clan and in October 2008, a year after TIA 1 died, TIA 2 disbanded.
A Failed Rebirth
At the disbanding of TIA, Schockblast, one of IA's leaders, attempted a rebirth with no authority from leaders. Xyber was able to halt the attempt by having the clan account banned, ending any attempts to start the clan without permission from its old leaders. With this, TIA disappeared into the abyss, quite possibly to never be seen again.
Interlude
After the death of TIA, Shika retired, though he would occasionally come visit. Jp started his own clan, Sanctuari Enterum, bringing with him Fate and Inu. CC joined Kyokushinkai, a clan that became a rival to SE. Xyber joined one of N-A's top clans, Akatsuki. However, by the end of March 2009, SE was no more and Jp and CC had retired from NA. It seemed that the leaders of TIA were all gone, save Xyber. As the months went by, TIA became a distant memory.
The Glorious Resurrection
In late July, CC returned to N-A. He came in contact with Shika to recruit him to a new clan he had joined, led by Missing-Nin1996, known as Nighty. However, this never happened. Shika and CC made contact with Xyber, Lulu, and Z_The_Death_God. The five decided that TIA should be rebuilt; however, Xyber and Lulu would not join. In August 2009, almost a year after TIA 2 had died, TIA 3 emerged. CC, Shika, and Z were its leaders. With Z's numerous contacts, new members joined, including Orochimaru77, who became a co-leader, and Tobi92, who became the GFX leader. Other old members, such as Waz, LordDallas, and The_Jokers_Hand rejoined. The three leaders worked tirelessly and activity reached levels that even TIA 1 did not have. Other important members joined, including -Newhope-, Bubblechews, and Pretzel12.
The Immortal Ancients: Today
With the departure of all three new founders, TIA is currently lead by Wazup, -Newhope-, and Bubblechews. With the new generation of ingamers, its past glory is barely remembered. However, those who knew TIA in its glory know of its history, fully aware that it can be considered among the top 10 greatest clans to ever to exist in N-A. Few clans can even boast a war record that resembles that of the original TIA and none can match the fear that the TIA avvy instilled on an opponent in its glory.
