Chapter 1: And you wondered...

Deidara was born with a gift. He wasn’t ordinary. He wasn’t like the other boys in Iwagakure. He had a talent for ART.
His almost-twin sister had an artistic talent as well. She could paint very well. At age 4, she painted wonderful paintings, showing them off to her mother and father. Her name was Ekaki. The last name of the family was Shojue.
Deidara was always considered the “flaw” in the family. Most said he was switched in the hospital on accident. He never was anywhere in time, he was too busy and slow. Deidara often went outside to find some clay, and shape it into something. He loved to make miniature statues of nature, his favorite place to be.
When Deidara was enrolled in the Academy, he hated it. Ekaki aced all of her classes. Deidara however, is a different story.
“Shojue Deidara! Get down here now!” Gashu Shojue yelled.
“Yes, father?” Deidara said, absorbed into his art.
“You never told me you weren’t doing well in school. Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I don’t know, I was busy.”
Deidara’s father punched him in the nose. Deidara screamed, whimpering like a little puppy. Tears streamed down his cheeks like tiny waterfalls.
“Wimp! Be strong, very strong.”
“That really hurt, unnnnn.”
Deidara’s nose was broken. When he breathed out, his voice made an “un” noise. Deidara was ashamed of this. He was cold and afraid. His went upstairs.
“Need help, little brother?”
“Ekaki-chan! Father broke my nose, un.”
“Ha! What a funny noise you nose made. Can I help fix it?”
“NO! You’ll only injure me further.”
Ekaki gave him a loving look. “I promise I won’t.”
“I don’t trust anyone, hm. I’m going to make more art.”
Deidara stormed into his room. He locked the door tight. Concentrating on the clay sculpture, it started to glow red. Suddenly, it burst!
