Hi everyone, i 'd like to share some ideas of how to write essays ........
i hope it helps.. //

Discussion and Argument

Rules
-no spamming
-no flamming
-don't say i don't understand .

Here are some tips for writing essays in which you have to discuss a topic :

~ Spend some time thinking about what you are trying to do
~ Research your subject thoroughly. Talk to other people; look for facts or information that may be helpful
~ Make a plan,using a spider diagram or numbered notes
~ Think about the structure of the essay, working out the best order for the different points of discussion
~ Start a new paragraph for each stage of your essay and work through the points you made in your notes. Make sure they add in some way to the discussion
~ Round off your essay with a conclusion which sums up the discussion

Here are some tips for writing essays in which there are two sides to the argument

~ Follow the steps above , but remember that you must think about and present both sides of the argument , whatever your own views may be.

~ Either - Give all points for the argument , and then move on to those against
~ Or...... - Take each point in turn, and give the arguments for the against each one before moving on to the next

~ Make your own views clear at the end . You can agree , disgree , or decide that there is something to be said for both sides of arguments .

Try to read it .

Actually not very helpfull at all, thanks for the effort at least.

Oh you should go to schools and teach them this, NA people may not be so interested abt it

its a good idea, but unfortunately an essay guide won't work too well on here. First of all, ppl on here are at all different ages and stages in school. So young ppl won't know what you are talking about and older ppl are way beyond that level.

plus they give you all that information in school anyways :noworry

Man, reading about essays makes me chuckle nervously... I'm doing a 20-page statistics report on a certain region of my country... That takes like... a lot of time :amused

All the calculations, then a short summary on like 20 different things.

And reports... Really, depends on the subject.

I think you should improve the topic and then the mods make it a sticky. Perhaps, hold a summary contest, whatcha guys and girls say?
