#1 All right, well figure now we finally have enough of a history to finally make one, so here it goes. Before Mostri ever came to be, the majority of the clan members were all part of a fairly well known clan that went by DNC, or DeathNote Clan. It was a solid clan that enjoyed it’s time in the spotlight, but soon, like many other clans, began to evolve into something new, something different. It became less about family dynamics and more about strength, power, and fame. This slowly overwhelmed some of the members and before long, caused the demise of a clan, and worse yet, the scattering of a once tightly knit group. Having enjoyed the dynamic that originally made Death Note Clan feel like a family, Chem5, Cezar, Redmanspike, KingsAssassin, DarkWashu, Goofy949, LightningPure, Jonatangh, D_Ace, Blind, and others all decided to band together and form a new clan. They looked for it to be more like the dnc of old, and not the bastardization of some over inflated sense of self worth that seemed to fester in the bowels of so many other clans out there. With this in mind, they set out to create a clan that focused on what had made their previous time together so great. They focused on making a place for everyone they enjoyed being around before to congregate and just not lose touch with each other. After 15 months as a clan, Mostri has realized that it has no real desire to be a typical clan any longer. We've never been active in game, war hungry or even all that interested in anything arena wise. Along with the Chem's announcement that he would be retiring shortly after the holidays, we've decided to continue our tradition of being more of gathering of friends by becoming a sub clan rather than keep up a traditional full on clan. As the history said, Mostri has always been a place for friends to just hang out, we've never been big on typical clan activities. This was just a natural choice. What will happen once Chem retires? I figure by being a sub clan, this will be easier for anyone to keep up who still wants to. If they don't, it will just sink down the inactive clan thread lists and be forgotten. Can anyone join? As long as you didn't piss me off in the past and you follow the rules below, you're free to apply Will Mostri ever be rebirthed as a regular clan? No, as anyone who knows me knows..rebirths are far and away one of the most annoying things to have happened to these arenas. If a clan dies, I believe it should stay dead, not brought back relentlessly for ease and name recognition. If I ever find out someone has rebirthed this clan after I'm gone, I'll murder them and their families Why do you still have an active clan ranking and roster if you are a sub clan? Until I leave, I will keep an open and active roster setup for anyone who wants to remain listed as a member. Once I leave, this portion will be closed down. What will you do in this sub clan? Whatever the members or the council want to do. For the most part we will just sit around chatting but are not limited to just this. We may still hold some tournaments and may even do a few friendly wars if others decide to. #2 These are simple enough. Do me a favor and read through them. If you do not do so, do not expect to be let into the sub-clan. It’s just that easy. Step 1 If you wish to apply, you must put that you are interested in joining followed by who has recommended you. Nobody that I (Chem5) or my council do not know will be allowed to apply. (Note: If you want to join but do not know anyone here, stop by the chat and let us get to know you so that one of us may recommend you) If you have passed step 1, you will be required to follow these rules set in place for all those waiting for approval ~No douchebagery allowed. This is fairly self explanatory. If you are a drama king/queen, have a problem with authority, enjoy nothing more than starting fights, are extremely quick to anger, etc. etc. etc., you don’t belong here. We have remained as tightly knit as we are because I do not, and will not allow assholes into my group. ~Be literate. I don’t mean just be able to read and write, as you wouldn’t have gotten this far without that ability. I am looking for people who can form whole thoughts and ideas, and can express them in complete sentences. If you are able to convey thoughts only in ways that look like this ‘omg lyke did u guyz se wut they did 2 kakashi?”, feel free to check out one of the other lovely clans in the NB universe. ~Leave the Ego at the door. Nobody wants to hear how great you are, who thinks so and how many times they've said it. If you enter Mostri, you are one of us..and no part is greater than the whole. ~Don't annoy me. Plain and simple. Step 2 If you've managed to make it through the application process and been approved by myself or a collective vote of the council, you will receive a pm and a notification on the thread letting you know that you've been accepted. There is nothing more you must do at the time other than keep in line and follow the rules set forth by myself and those I've placed in charge. Step 3 Once you've proven yourself, you will be allowed to suggest others for joining as well. You will also be granted more privileges in chat and other creature comforts. Latest Victims (within the past 48 hours) Haruhi KingJ Latest Infected (within the past 48 hours) Latest Infectious (within the past 48 hours) Dubs The Monsters of Mostri are those who have stuck with the clan without any wavering in their support. These are the elite members who make up the council and whose opinions matter most to me. These are the creme de la creme and the hierarchy of the sub clan. While still following the philosophy that there is no single part greater than the whole..if there was, chances are these parts would far and away be it. The villains of Mostri are former members of Mostri who chose to take a different path (leaving on good terms) or friends of Chem and Mostri that have been around for a long while. They share the same spirit as the rest of it, but have a moral compass that points them just off of hardcore monsterdom. Villains are greatly appreciated and for that, are allowed to invite victims into the group. Like any good story, we wouldn't be the same without a few good villains to help liven things up. The antiheroes of Mostri are practically the goody 2 shoes of the bunch. These are the members who were never a part of mostri but were always decent friends to the clan..or those who are new to us but are looking to make a name here. They don't suffer the same faults as the hero, but haven't been able to break free from the Dudley Do Right mentality that's kept them prisoners to their own self righteousness for so long. #3 ~::Rules::~ 1. Do not, at any time, talk about another’s team. Do not even imply their team type. Doing so will result in one warning, then a ban from all future Mostri tournaments. 2. Flaming, fighting, and spamming are forbidden at all times. 3. Do not sit around after your loss complaining about chakra. We’ve all gotten screwed, it happens. I’m sorry it occurred but move along and complain elsewhere. 4. Do not come to every tourney just to wish good luck. Get your post count up elsewhere. 5. If you join the tourney, please try to stay until the end. If I see you repeatedly joining only to drop out of it, I will ban you from future Mostri tournaments. ~::Team Restrictions::~ If you are found using these teams, you will get one warning. If you use them again, you will be banned from all future Mostri tournaments. ~You may not use full drainer/stealer teams. This means any combination of drainer/stunners in one team as well. ~You may not use full stunner teams. This includes teams combining AOE stunners and single stunners. Ex. Sakura/shika/ino. ~You may not use full counter teams. This excludes all teams with destructible damage. Destructible damage does not equal a counter. ~::Tournament Setup and Stipulations::~ 1. All rounds will be sudden death except for the final round, which will be best 2 of 3. 2. Mostri members will get priority in selection, but otherwise, all tournaments are first come, first serve. 3. Glitches that occur in the first round will result in one restart. Any glitches that occur after that will be considered a loss unless the winner says otherwise. You must use same teams if a glitch occurs. Doing otherwise results in an instant loss. 4. Winners will go in hall of fame, and depending on tournament, may receive prize. 5.
