Ode to My Emotions

I thank you Emotions
I truly do
Happiness you allow me to enjoy life to its greatest aspect
Fear you remind me I'm only human and I am not perfect
Courage you allow me stand up for what is right
Sadness you remind that crying is sometimes the best solution
But to you anger I must say you controlled me,
you controlled me as if I were a pet and you the master,
you controlled me as if I were a lion and you a hunter,
Thank You!

Fears

Unpleasant happenings,
Clouding my mind,
My warm world gets colder and colder
As thunder storms of fear
come near the sunny places I
once remember, flooded with emotions.

I start to cry in the darkness, as the
rain drowns me I disappear.
As my sunny filled world becomes a flood of fears.
But these are just fears not reality.

Love/Fears

My rainy world is now a sunny sky,
as the gleamy sun shines on my frozen slumber of hatred,
my once snow flooded wolrd is now a melted sky of flaming passion
of love
But I still fear my world will once again be clouded with sadness,
so I run and run but only stay in my blizzard of sadness.
(Shorts poem I've ever written.)

Where I'm from.....

I'm from a dangerous land where rules are set yet never followed.
From a place where crimes have become a hobby,
and guns a right,
I'm from a place where gangs take over and destroy.
Where everyone stays silent and watch as crimes are committed. A land where a child's mind is infected
Where I see blood on the floor as you hear a child begging for their life. As I taste the hatred in the air and smell the odor of despair. As all these senses are activated I touch the door to run from my dangerous land.

Exceeding Hatred
Corrupted mind, Broken Soul
Overflowing Pain

War
Destruction, Ambition
Striking, Killing, Destroying
Lives taken through a terrible emotion
RAGE

Racing anger through my heart
An eagle eating its prey like a soldier killing its enemy
Gorgeous tiger striking its prey
Everyone expects evil from me

Never Did I tell You

I Never did I tell you your eyes were
the gleaming stars in my life

I Never did I tell you your heart is my energy source
and your soul my will

I never did tell you your arms are my fortress
your body my sheild

I never did tell you your words of hatred
and anger were my clue to improvement

But I was did tell you, you are my mom.

I Remember

I remember you telling me you would eventually help
but never did

I remember you telling me everything will be okay,
but everything just got worse

I remember the days when we were a true family
and not people on separate paths

I remember when you would embrace me for fun,
now you just nod with acceptance

I remember these things because that you was me!

My life is like:

My life is like a roller coaster ending only at its end,
My life is like a fire burning lightly until it goes out,
My life is like lighting striking once and never again,
My life is like a wheel spinning until it goes into a sudden stop,
My life is like a baseball game continuing until the last point is made,
My life is a lot of things but it will never be.................. bad!

Seven Ways to look at a Hawk

1. A quick predator in the sky, waiting for a weak prey
2. A dashing beast flying away, from those who dare call him a prey
3. An eye watching over us all as we live our lives
4. Wings of the everlasting sky
5. Guardian of its children
6. A small dragon, with wing power of a plane
7. A sword used by an invisible spirit to protect us

Death

A blessing? A curse?
A gift from above, or
a spell from below?
As I think in depth,
I notice, we're all
on a roller coaster called life
and once the rides are over our soul crosses over
But which do we choose? Hell or Heaven?
Is it really that bad to die? Well.........................
no I think,
why?
We are free to do as we bless,
to roam the world free, to meet are beloved dead ones.
But to me truth death is just staying in your body and doing nothing while your body rots.
