Hey guys!

I made this quick little guide so newbies at gfx'ing know a few things about gfxing so we will be free of all those "help my gfx!!!! pleaase!!" topics. It also contains examples and links when I think it's neccesarry. Feel free to ask anything (related to the topic), and come with comments :3

� Don't overdo the effects, it can totally ruin the signature
� Don't just add a border, try with multiple to see which works best.
� Don't cover the focal in effects, smudge over it or have text going over it. Gradient mapping it and such is fine though.
� Improve text skills along with your basic gfxing skills, else people might accuse you for ripping
� Make sure that the focalpoint is sharp and not blurry
� Take some tutorials, for gods sake.
� Never "mash" the focal. Example: Click here
� Save the psd/xcf whatever, so people cannot accuse you for ripping, and so you can edit things people suggest edited.
� Save signatures as .png, animations as .gif and avatars as .jpg.
� Remember to have alot of resources for just-in-case situations.

� Yes DeviantArt. This will provide most of the things that is needed for a gfx'er. It have brushes, tutorials, stocks, patterns and so much more. I have here linked to the tutorial section, so you're on your own to find tutorials for whatever program you use.

Deviant Art's Resources Section

All of the things you could possibly need. Sign-Up is not needed, but recommended as you will be able to comment, set settings, and remove 80% or so of all Adds on the site.
