Hey everyone. I have been DYING to learn how to do the glowing paths tool swirl that the real pro graphics people do, and today I buckled down and started learning. Unfourtunately I couldn't find any tutorials for Gimp, but using a Photoshop tutorial I managed to pull together the below. Those of you who know how its done will recognize that I simply filled the path with the sparks tool a couple of times to get the multi-color effect. Tell me what you think, and if you know of any ways that I can make it better (other than fixing my path shape, I know it's terrible) please tell me. I really want to get good at this. Thanks in advance!

Uh, well it looks nothing like the photo shop version..:oh
But for gimp its good, needs more glow though...:noworry

the glowing i learned but not the curly part
u choose your colour
then stroke the path
the duplicate layer and then Gausian Blur tthe duplicated layer

I'll give it a shot right now. I don't think just blurring will get a glow though, because wouldn't that just cover the original stroke with a blurred version of itself if the layer is set to normal?
