This is a guide to Naruto-Arena battles. Hopefully it will be helpful to everyone.
I would also like to credit correojon for his contributions in this guide.
I included the Team Building Guide before the Battling Guide to make it more convenient for you to read.
This is to save you the trouble of clicking Back/Forward or opening another browswer to read the Team Building Guide.
[I double posted because of this error message: "Your topic is too big. Please shorten it to max. 10000 characters."]

=== Section 1: Building Your Team ===
In order to play well in Naruto-Arena, your team needs to be built well. In other words, the characters you choose must be able to work well in terms of chakra and attack effects. Read on to find out more on them.
-------------------------
- 1.1 Chakra Balance
An important aspect of the game is to always be able to do something with your characters; either attack or defend.
During the start of every turn, you will receive one chakra for each character on your team that is still alive. There are 4 chakra types and the chance of getting each of them is random. You may receive 3 different types of chakra, 2 chakra of the same kind with 1 different chakra OR 3 chakra of the same kind.
If your entire team is only able to use 2 types of chakra and you keep receiving the other 2 types of chakra, you are screwed. Hence, it is advisable to make sure that your team will be able to use at least 3 or 4 different types of chakra. In other words, your team must be balanced in terms of chakra. Here's are some examples of teams that are not well balanced in terms of chakra usage: Gaara, Temari, Kabuto and Haku, Kidoumaru, Shino
By making your team well-balanced in chakra usage, no matter what chakra your team receives, your characters will be able to attack or defend most of the time since they will be able to make use of the chakra given most of the time.
The reason i mentioned "most of the time" is because the chakra system is based on luck and sometimes you may just be extremely unlucky...
eg. You receive 3 chakra of the type that none of your characters use
eg. You never received any white chakra during the entire game and one of your characters only uses white chakra.
-------------------------
- 1.2 Complementary Attacks
Another area that you need to consider when forming a team are the similarities in the attacks of the characters in your team. In other words, teams built around a certain theme and specialise in it. Your team tends to be able to work more effectively when they specialise in something. For example, a CDT (read Section 1.3 for its meaning) will be able to remove/drain chakra more effectively than a team with one character that can remove/drain chakra. Hence, I've categorised the characters according to their abilities and effects so that you will be able to tell which characters have common abilities.
This is the old list i created a while ago. I will create an updated list asap.
-------------------------
- 1.3 General Team Types
These are some of the more commonly used types of teams, where there is specialisation in a particular area. To consider a team to be specialised in an area, at least 2 characters with that type skill must be in the team. For example, an AOE team must have at least two characters that can deal AOE damage.
Here are of those teams:
~> Damage-reduction Team: Your characters only receive a fraction of the total damage that opponents deal to them, making it as if they have more hp than the other team because it takes more damage to kill your character. Your team can tank lots of hits and its difficult to kill off your character.
Examples of characters that have damage-reduction abilities: Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, etc
~> Area-of-Effect Team (AOE Team): Your characters deal damage to the whole of the opponent's team and usually kills all of them at once.
Examples of characters that deal AOE damage: Tenten, Temari, etc
~> High-damage Team: Your characters can deal high damage and take out individual opponent characters fast.
Examples of characters that deal high damage: Sasuke, Lee, Kidoumaru, Kimmimaro, etc
~> Chakra-drain Team (CDT): Your characters are there to remove and drain chakra from your opponents so that the opponent team has no chakra to use and is unable to do anything at all. When that happens, you will bring them to a slow death.
Examples of characters that can remove/drain chakra: Neji, Shino, etc
~> 1HKO Team: Your team can kill individual opponent characters in one hit, without the need to deal any damage to your target at all.
Examples of characters that can kill in one hit: Gaara, Kakashi, Orochimaru, Sandaime Hokage, etc
~> Wall Team: Your characters can make your entire team invunerable so that your opponent cannot touch your team at all while you slowly take them out.
Examples of characters that can make the team invunerable: Shino, Temari, Jiroubou, etc
~> Poison Team: Your characters deal damage over a number of turns. Though the damage dealt each turn may seem little, it is very difficult to defend against the damage, as your opponent cannot possibly be defending his characters every turn. Moreover, some of the poison damage is undefendable once inflicted.
Examples of characters that use poison: Kankuro, Shizune, etc
~> Heal Team: Your characters are able to heal each other to prevent you from losing your characters. Sometimes, a character that loses health easily (Lee, Kimmimaro, etc) is used as the third member of the team.
Examples of characters that can heal: Sakura, Shizune
~> Perma-stun Team: Your characters can stun the opponent's entire team, causing your opponent to be unable to do anything while you kill off his characters.
Examples of characters that have AOE stun: Haku, Tayuya, etc
~> Single-stun Team: Your characters can stun individual opponent characters. This allows you to be able to prevent your opponent's key characters from doing anything while you kill off his characters.
Examples of characters that can stun individual opponents: Sakura, Ino, Kidoumaru
~> Mixed Team: Characters with a variety of abilities are used to complement each other.
