#1 All right, well figure now we finally have enough of a history to finally make one, so here it goes. Before Mostri ever came to be, the majority of the clan members were all part of a fairly well known clan that went by DNC, or DeathNote Clan. It was a solid clan that enjoyed it’s time in the spotlight, but soon, like many other clans, began to evolve into something new, something different. It became less about family dynamics and more about strength, power, and fame. This slowly overwhelmed some of the members and before long, caused the demise of a clan, and worse yet, the scattering of a once tightly knit group. Having enjoyed the dynamic that originally made Death Note Clan feel like a family, Chem5, Cezar, Redmanspike, KingsAssassin, DarkWashu, Goofy949, LightningPure, Jonatangh, D_Ace, Blind, and others all decided to band together and form a new clan. They looked for it to be more like the dnc of old, and not the bastardization of some over inflated sense of self worth that seemed to fester in the bowels of so many other clans out there. With this in mind, they set out to create a clan that focused on what had made their previous time together so great. They focused on making a place for everyone they enjoyed being around before to congregate and just not lose touch with each other. Little did any of us know that 5 months later, we would not only still be together, but would be known around the boards for creeping out most everyone who was unfortunate enough to come across us. We didn’t set out to make another long standing clan that gathered more and more oddball members as each week passed, but we’ll be damned if we aren’t going to make the most of it while doing as little work possible. #2 These are simple enough. Do me a favor and read through them. If you do not do so, do not expect to be let into the clan. It’s just that easy. 1. No douchebagery allowed. This is fairly self explanatory. If you are a drama king/queen, a clan hopper, have a problem with authority, enjoy nothing more than starting fights, are extremely quick to anger, etc. etc. etc., you don’t belong here. We have remained as tightly knit as we are because I do not, and will not allow assholes into the clan. 2. Be active. When I mean be active, I don’t mean you have to play 100 ladder games a day, nor do I expect you to spend your life on the chat. What I do expect though, is if you sign up to be a part of the clan, that you not sit around on the boards or your friends xat chats and never bother coming to the clan chat/forums. If you want to be in Mostri, show you actually want to be here and come by to prove to us that you have some interest in the clan, or at the very least, are still alive. 3. Do not be applying to other clans at the same time you are applying to Mostri. We are not a fall back clan if you do not get into the clan you are looking to join. If you want to join Mostri, that is fine, but we will not be a placeholder until you find what you are lookin for. If you enter Mostri and decide to leave, please do us a favor and at least post that you are leaving. I don’t need a reason, I don’t need an excuse, I don’t need to hear why unless you really want to give it, just tell me. 4. Be literate. I don’t mean just be able to read and write, as you wouldn’t have gotten this far without that ability. I am looking for people who can form whole thoughts and ideas, and can express them in complete sentences. If you are able to convey thoughts only in ways that look like this ‘omg lyke did u guyz se wut they did 2 kakashi?”, feel free to check out one of the other lovely clans in the NB universe. 5. Don't annoy me. Plain and simple. This is the biggest of all. I don't care if your streak isn't the best, I don't care if your ratio isn't amazing, just don't annoy me. We can help teach you skill, but it's a lot harder to help teach you not to be a dickwad. 1. Monster themed…everything. This is a monster based clan. There will be “scary” things. I cannot tell you how many times now someone has entered/attempted to enter only to be surprised by our horror based..everything. The clan’s name is Mostri, meaning Monster in Italian. The banners are of monsters. The Gfx consist of Monsters for the most part. Catch the drift? Do not come here and ask “why does everything have to be about Monsters?”. This is Mostri, that’s why. 2. We are relatively lazy. If you are looking for a clan that cares about their level on the clan ladder, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a clan that wars every day, runs around trying to participate in every tourney they can find, or who generally cares about making as big a name possible for themselves in the nb universe, you are looking at the wrong clan. We’ve got more important things to worry/care about than if we are known or thought of as a strong clan. This applies for interactions inside the clan as well. If someone says they will make you an av/sig/tag, do not sit and bug them about it. We take our time here in Mostri, because we’re just that damn good. 3. Prepare to have to make a name for yourself. For the most part, the people in this clan have known each other for well over 8-10 months, and because of this, have developed relationships that allow us to interact in ways with each other that others may not get/be a part of. This is a bit off putting to some at first. Does this mean nobody here likes you or cares about you? No. This just means that you should be prepared to make an effort to get to know everybody, and in turn, let them know you. 4. We expect you to leave the ego at the door. Plain and simple, check the attitude at the door. I don’t care if you have a +10 or a +100, when you come to the clan, you respect the people that have been in it and helped it survive. As said in part 3, long standing members have a different relationship with each other and something that is a joke to them may come off differently coming from you. As my motto always goes, “You don’t need us, and we sure as hell don’t need you.”. This applies for everyone, so if you somehow feel you are above this or are the exception to this rule, come on by and I will gladly put you in your place. Benefits Of Joining The longer you are a member, the more benefits you may receive over time. ::Upon Joining:: You will receive the link to the clan page. Respect those who I have placed in charge of the clan. If you disagree with something they have done, screen shot it and share it with me in private. This chat box is for everyone's use and enjoyment, not for you to take over. 4. Do not flame each other. Show some sense and respect for your fellow clanmates, and keep things relatively kind. I don't pretend that you are going to love everyone and stand side by side with rainbow butterfly happy happy joy joy dreams, but do not bring your dislike into the middle of things. If you have a problem with someone, discuss it in PC. If you cannot avoid them, then bring it to myself or your squad leader and we will try to resolve it so both parties will be happy. 5. This is a clan site, not a hookup site. If you wish to attempt to find a soulmate in a fellow clan member, do not let it consume the chat box. I don't want to see anyone "*hugging*" or "-kissing-" in my chat box. This is not a brothel. This also means you will respect people of the same and opposite sex. Do not believe that someone you are interested in must be interested in you as you relentless pursue them. I have seen it far too many times where one male or female suddenly becomes the object of everyone's affection, and soon they forget about anything that doesn't involve that person. Not here, not now, not ever. If you like someone, take it to pc and discuss your wonderful future and ugly children there. Also, there will be no calling anyone names like "whore" or "slut" if they reject you or you think it's funny and makes you look cool. 6. Try to refrain from 900 word names. Keep it simple, also, no 10 smiley names either. I don't want a seizure or to have to read a story made from hieroglyphics just to figure out who the hell you are. 7. Most of all, have fun. This is a game after all and, in the grand scheme, this is more to make friends and have a good time than anything else. #3 - ::Rated ~NC-17~:: For excessive gore and creation of disturbing imagery. The leader of Mostri, Chem has been described as an Iron Fisted dickhead with a hardon for all things Horror. Not wanting to say much about himself...he won't. - ::Rated ~R~:: For foul language and a pure raw talent at the game. One of the co-leaders of Mostri, Red is one of Chem's long standing friends all the way back from DNC. Foul mouthed and often in an even fouler mood, he will snap at anyone and anything that he feels hasn't earned his respect. A good friend and a great player, the clan wouldn't be what it is today without Red and his "never say die" attitude. An asset to Chem, as long as there is a clan where he has control, Mr. Spike will always have a place there with him. - ::Rated ~PG-13~:: For adult humor and desire to enhance the clan. A mod of the clan, Dai is moving up the ladder relatively quickly for someone who wasn't a crossover from DNC. Continually displaying a fondness for the clan and most of the members, Dai has made the Mostri house a home, and is a up and coming name in the hall of greats as far as Chem is concerned. Dai's fondness for advancing the clan through skillful playing and intelligent modding have earned him respect and admiration from everyone, and we hope to keep him around for a long time to come. - ::Rated PG-13 For being...well..for being Sen Sen Sen Sen..what is there to say about Sen that can't be summed up in a police report and a rape kit. Sen is an extreme...and I don't mean in the "OMG WE'LL SAY SOMETHING IS XTREME AND KIDS WILL ALL LOVE IT" sort of way. I mean that emotions about Sen vary from one extreme to the other. People either love em, get him and his moods, and value truthful nature and giving friendship to no end...or they hate his fuxin guts and everything he does. I personally am a fan of his...and seeing as I'm the leader here, that counts for pretty much everything, so suck it haters. In all honesty, he is a great asset to the clan who really does help the day go by a bit easier whenever he comes on in a good mood. Give him the chance and he'll make you laugh...or get you pissed off...it's all up to you on how you take it cus in the end, he's just being Sen. - ::Rated R:: For adult themes and loyalty to the cause. One of the founders of Mostri alongside Chem, CZ is a long standing member of the "originals" from DNC. A terrific member and a great friend, this Romanian romancer is notorious for his abilities (or inabilities rather) to chat up any lady who happens to wander into the chat room. Once a strong player, he's pretty much retired from Arena life, but is still far and away the best gfxer the clan has. Always making a joke and jokingly cocky, he's an asset that any clan would be lucky to steal away (and believe me, they've tried), but for whatever reason he sticks around to be a part of the Mostri family. A real mainstay here, a clan without him isn't really much of a clan for me. - ::Rated PG-13:: for adult themes and just plain oddness. What is there to say about Mani that hasn't already been said in a restraining order? A newer addition to Mostri, but has already formed a solid love/hate relationship with most of the clan members. A terrific artist with a good sense of humor and an incredibly morbid view on that which surrounds him, Mani was born to be in Mostri..or maybe Mostri was simply born to try and be an outlet for him. An unexpected addition originally, he has quickly endeared himself to some and agitated others, but he's simply being himself and we wouldn't have him any other way. I see nothing but good things in his future along side myself and others here in the clan, and I only hope that he continues to feel at home here, where insanity is not only welcomed, but encouraged. - ::Rated PG:: For random odd outbursts but overall innocence. The youngster of the group, Nui is affectionately referred to by some as "the clan's little sister". She isn't your typical girly girl, in that she can get just as odd as the best of them when the time comes, but that really does little more than make us all appreciate her that much more. A good gfxer and a great up and coming amv artist, she's the hidden gem of the clan. When not being crushed by piles of homework from her fiendish teachers, she can be found creating new names for everyone in the clan or talking about her future trips with her class mates. I'm not sure how the bond between Nui and Mostri formed, but we'll gladly maim and dispose of anyone who dares try and break it. - ::Rated PG-13:: for fiendish behavior and overall attitude. Possibly the most silent member of Mostri at times, FireShadow, or Fire for short..is a medium range member of the clan. Kind of a mystery, Fire seems to enjoy simply telling people off, or rolling her eyes at the ditsy "omg huggles I'm so cute I luvvlez you allll" type girls that occasionally make the mistake of wandering into Mostri. With a "take no prisoner, tell em' how you feel" type attitude, when she speaks you know it's the truth..and if you aren't willing to sit and listen, then it's most certainly your loss. Playing a larger role in our S-A division than the N-A one, she is still far and away a terrific asset to the clan as a whole, and while I wouldn't ever tell her for fear of her telling me where to stick my compliment..we are glad to have her in our ranks. #4 The monsters of Mostri are also the fighters of Mostri. These members will be allowed to participate in wars if they wish, run tournaments, and will be in charge of all things battle related. These are the cream of the active crop, showing a great deal of loyalty and respect for their fellow monsters both on and off the boards. The captains of this squad is the Mostri International: N-A division leader. - Redmanspike - Jonatangh - Heavens Punisher - Rasenchio_0 - Fatal_Ghosty - Oswald666 The Villains are less blood thirsty than the monsters, but are still a force to be dealt with. This squad is for those who are still fairly active in chat, but not always up for a fight. They prefer to stare menacingly If first tier members are not available, we will rely on second tier during times of war/tournaments/etc. These members will be allowed to host tournaments, but not wars. #5 All Mostri wars will be broken into 2 sections. Legendary wars and the war of the Minions, or just plain Minion wars. Legendary wars will be with our top players. They will all be 5 on 5 with strict rules and can only be declared by myself or Jonatangh. These will more than likely occur less often, and will setup through direct clan to clan discussions beforehand. These will be posted in the war section, as well as updated here on the boards page. Minion wars will include whoever wishes to go into battle. They will be 3 on 3, 4 on 4, 5 on 5, etc. Whoever declares the war will set the rules, and will be in charge of making sure whatever rules they put forth are followed. These will be open challenges, and will be posted in the war section. Both Legendary and Minion wars will be counted in our official war tallies, but will be broken down into the two sections for record keeping. LW indicates Legendary wars MW indicates Minion wars Minion War Hoping to prove themselves to the legends of the clan, the minions crawl forth from their resting places. Fueled by bloodlust, they prowl the lands for anyone who may fall victim to their force. Not the strongest, or the fastest, or the smartest of the monsters, what they lack in skill they make up for in sheer rage and a desire to become worthy of notice and admiration amongst their fellow rejects. We may not be the thing of nightmares yet..but underestimate us once and it will be the last mistake you ever make. We are Minions of war, we are Mostri. ~::Rules::~ 1.
