I can't believe the Netherlands lost.

That means the Germans have to win!

Kinda weird how all the #2 seeded teams are beating the #1 seeded teams. And the next game Italy has a chance to continue that against Spain. And Italy is a pretty good team. =] Could it be possible for a only #2 seeded Semi-Final? Lol. That would be freaking sweet, as long as Germany wins! lol

Well I kind of had the feeling that it will be a close game. The Russians , just like Turkey , have a certain passion when playing the game. You can see how they want to give it all on the pitch and never admit defeat. Furthermore the fans are really incisive if they make a bad result and are quick to blame fault of anyone. Not to mention that russian soccer was always a force, even in the European Cups. CSKA Moscow won the UEFA in 2004/2005 and now the current holders are Zenit Skt Pettersburg after a eliminating teams like Bayer Munchen, Leverkusen and Marseille to name a few.

Besides they have a legend for a coach. Guus Hiddink is one of the greatest managers there are, he had made history are a trainer. South Korea finished 4th in the world cup under his guide in 2002 and now Russia has not only passed the group stage for the first time since the USSR disbanded, but also reached the Semi-finals. Not to mention he knows the Dutch school and tactics regarding the way they play the game by heart. So obviously he knew what was coming and knew how to counter it.

I think that the game broke it's balance in the extra time phase. You could see that the Netherlands didn't have any energy left to play anymore and just backed down , hoping they would reach the PK. The Russian team totally outnumbered them there, releasing waves upon waves of attack on Van der Sar's goal.

Well, today is going to the the last quarter final and if we were to respect the rule so far (meaning that all the group leaders were eliminated) then Italy should win. And somewhat rightly so as they have never lost to Spain in 88 years. But somehow I get the feeling that it would be time for Spain to win against Italy for once. Torres and Villa are the kind of players that can put a lot of pressure on the wobbly defense of Italy. And Aragones is more experienced than Donadoni, too.

Still it is going to be a difficult match considering that Italy is renowned for having an awful group start, barely getting the qualify and they somehow revive afterwards reaching the final parts of the tournament.

Well, we can only wait and see

I too wish i could elaborate some of these topics with my own opinion but "i know nothing" *jest jest* I am back also for about 3 weeks, i am happy to say that i have successfully found a house and a job so i have internet now which means i will be on way more.

Welcome back Sory! =] Glad to see you in one piece. Lol.

Well the only sport I don't really know is basketball, and even so I know the basics and stuff.

I guess sports are just my thing. We all have a topic where we know a lot of or enjoy talking about.

Hmmmm, I still need to get a hold of Shika so we can do our PB test. =/ I've been slacking! Euro 08 has attracted to me to watch the games instead of taking care of business. >.< I'll be sure to contact him again soon.

I didnt watch the Spain Italy game, as I was having a Matrix Day, but I heard the game was cack. Another Penalty game, and for once, Spain get as far as they deserve (they have a reputation for losing even though they're a great side, kinda like England *cough*)

Semi's should be interesting. I want a Turkey/Russia final!!

Well I told Hot that my application got erased, so I have to start over.

I know most sports except Volleyball, Baseball, and bowling, whch seem to get boring for me after a while.

NBA,Basketball of any form is my favorite sport.

I haven't seen Septic in a while....
