Night has fallen
like a shroud of clouds
my god its dark
i am so blind around
tripping on tree branches
i guess im in a forest
it not over tonight
the darkness shall consume
all that touches it all over
like sweet love at midnight
i am horney in the night

Shrouded in mist up to the eyes
Living with death strong in my life
Destruction and torture are all that I see
In the light of heaven is where I should be
Darkness and hate play around with me
Light up the room to destroy everything
I need your hope I need your dreams
Before this darkness makes me scream
The darkness is sharpest when your not around
Consuming my insides I'm left on the ground
Sweating, silent, not making a sound
Tonight I might be driven down
And the night stops my mind
It takes away time
Destroying all that I planned
Turns out, I'm just sand

What a picture –
The stagnant, black lake,
Murky tundra,
In which an upside down duck,
Floating in a broken fragment of life,
Finally rests amongst
Discarded bottles and cans;
The concrete ghost
With glassy eyes,
An imposing mountain rising
In the cloudless sky,
A speck of moonlight
Catching its bearded jaw,
Jagged and absolute;
Striding to meet him,
The unfinished merchant,
Pockets filled with dry phlegm
And flakes of skin,
A bony structure
That has yet to be realized;
A canopy of withered trees,
Scorched with the vanity
Of nomadic tribes,
Here for – what, three years? –
Like a ragged dog,
Marking its territory
And then forgetting
Where its throne lies;
What a picture –
Forget the flash,
This is a snapshot of night.

Sunset skies,
Unshed tears
Quietly I cry
And run from untold fears
From starlit nights
And blind flights
Weeping love
Passion to sate
Fluttering like a dove
My heart cannot escape

The night is so graceful
It's also so painful
If day were night it'd be so nice
Endless light, it's dark as night...
The wings of the bats,
The brisk, cold, wind...
It vanishes by dawn; like a shadow in the mist...
The gracefilled energy; the daily retreat
Although so mysterious, it is undoubtably elite...
Feared like spiders; so misunderstood...
If it could change its darkening ways, it definately would...
But night cannot change; it's a leopard's spots...
The night is so hated; I wish it was not
Endless Night; Misunderstood fright;
Endless Night; Soar like a kite...

Tick-tock, Tick-Tock
The night sky is silent,
except for the ticking of the clock.
Street Lights flicker on and off.
The nighttime breeze chills the habitants.
All is silent, all is still
The moon is out,
illuminating the essence
of mankind... and things made by mankind.
A beautiful sight... wonderous and amazing
It glows behind the sun
Shimmering in its white glory
People murmur across the streets
Pulling their coats together
whispering into the silence
of the night
The night is mysterious
Sometimes it is dark,
providing difficulty for travelers
Sometimes, it is beautiful,
creating warmth and passion
Yes, Night is by itself,
a wonder of the world
a wonder of the universe
as the thought is pondered,
The clock strikes midnight.

We met at night
Beneath the stars,
Whilst the world slept
Our love was free.
The moon shadowed us,
Fair and forbearing,
Light could not coerce,
Just the night and us.
Mutual hearts
Unveiled by darkness,
The absence of eyes
As kind as consent.
Please don’t go moon,
That’s what we pled,
Dawn came too soon,
Not enough was said.

Night came by,
Pushing day away,
with all of her force.
But slowly, very slowly,
as if in this particular winter night,
night was sleeping all day.
As the last night,
lasted too long, oh so long,
perhaps?
As if night had a schedule,
And she was behind, oh so behind.
But this one night,
Night begun at midnight,
as teasing oh, oh, so many,
lovers of the night.

Night is the time when the world finally gets quite and peaceful.
Where you can forget all your troubles.
Watch the stars sparkle and show reflection in your blue eyes.
The moon sits in tranquility watching you silently.
The dark shadows cast a dark spell making you hidden in the night.
Your footsteps cannot be heard even by you.
The birds no longer chirp in delight.
It seems that your voice becomes hollow and is gone and you are speechless.
Your ancestors watch you go by.
Seeing you growing up, they almost cry.
The moon lowers for its new pronounced sleep.
Your crystals filled eyes seem to lose the glimmer.
Your hidden shadow slowly dies.
The footsteps seem to crackle now.
The bird’s chirps are faint, but still there.
You feel your throat vibrate with sound.
Your ancestors fade away.
Knowing you will be ok.
You start to hear a soft vroom, knowing the world is awaking.
That special part of the day is almost gone.
As you fade into your troubles once again.
Its so very sad because you must now say, Goodbye…

Once the sun sets, the Earth
is embrace by the darkness of the night
Everyone’s' worries and pains are engulfed
and all their woes are slowly soothed away
Even when one's alone huddled
away in a corner of a room
You're never alone
Remember
The stars that are above
They may not be able to speak to you
But, you can speak to them
and they always listen to you
Even when your heart may be breaking
because of all the stresses of life
You have to remember to look up
at the darkness of today
and all it's gift
The gifts that night bring
