As the title says, for every game, my Wii Disk Drive won't spin. The Wii says that the Game Disc could not be read whenever I insert any Wii or Gamecube Disk.

I currently don't have an extra 80$ to get my Wii fixed. Is there anything I can do to try to fix my Wii before I send it in? (Disk Clensers, Give the Wii rest, etc.)

[DETAILS]
I first experienced this problem when I was logged online on Animal Crossing: City Folk for the first time. The Wii Disk Drive tried to make my disk spin, but it made a strange noise. I gave it a days rest and now the Wii won't even attempt to spin any of my disks. I have also tried blowing into the Wii's disk drive because I heard that the problem may be that the inside is dirty.

I HAVE called Nintendo Support, but they didn't help me the way I wanted. (They want me to send in my Wii for 80$ in repairs.) Right now, my Wii is currently "Off", not "Standby Mode." All the other functions including Internet, Channels, and Virtual Console games also work fine.

The same thing happen to my first Wii.
If i were you I would just try to save up the $80.
I had to wait like 4 months before I finally decided to go buy a brand new one.

Don't go straight to Nintendo.
See if anyone you know has contacts with regular people who can fix those things.
If not, then I suppose Nintendo is your only choice.

Have you check on other wii's to see if your games work? Also have you tried inserting the game and then reseting the wii to see if it will spin?

That's never happened to me, but game systems are pretty sensitive so probably your Wii came into contact with something that disrupts certain key features.

I'll try checking other Wii's to find out, but my Gamecube games won't work. And, yes I've tried resetting the Wii.

I bought my Wii 2 years ago on the launch day so I don't think they'll accept it.
