Chapter 1.
Chapter Two?
Blake woke up with a startle when Nicky tapped him on the shoulder gently. He had slept in his clothes so he was ready. They climbed onto a big tree's branch from his window and climbed down cautiously, careful not to fall down and more importantly to Blake, not falling onto Nicky. They jumped to the ground from the trunk at safe hieght. Blake jumped down over Nicky so he could catch her. Nicky in all her pride, rejected the offer and fell down and landed on her face. She got up and her face was mixed with red from embarrassment and brown from dirt. Nicky swallowed her pride and allowed Blake to help her to her feet.
They walked down the hills towards the nearby village Dellcuit. It was a small fishing town. It seems the kingdom had forgotten about them because no tax collectors had been around for years. Either that or they are afaid to cross the Welogi` river. It was a harsh half a mile wide raging white water river. Only the locals knew about the 'apparent' secret that allows you to cross. Blake thought they were a bunch of morons, thinking that a calm spot in the river is hard to find.
Nicky and Blake neared the village silently in the dead of night. The snuck into the local money holder - Mayor Kerrie's house. With the key that Blake had snatched off Jayden, he opened the door to the village's treasures. The village was not that rich so not much was stored, but there was enough to pay the bail to the elves. This was another reason Blake got enraged when people said that the elves were good guys. About a year ago Nicky got home from her archery lessons and noticed her father was missing, there was a small parchment that read that they needed to give up 550 gold pieces. This kind of money was probably not even in the hands of the wealthiest man in Buarrow, the capital of Pohrend.
Nicky had brought a few back packs to carry it all. They stuffed the gold into their bags and were ready to go. The door creaked open and in stepped Dolg with a lantern. He was twice Blake's size, and three times Nicky's. If they had to fight their way out they were willing to, no matter how big Dolg is they had the upperhand of him being slow and them being fast.
"What are you brats doing in 'ere?" Dolg said with his deep voice rapturing to Nicki and Blake's hearts.
"We're... huh... depositing some gold..." the words whimpered out of his mouth non-convincingly.
"I don't think ya' are... I thinks you two brats are tryin' to steal this 'ere gold. Maybe I should jus' spear ya' bodies and put 'em in the court yard for everyone to remember not ta' steal."
"There's no need to do that..." At list time Blake saw the Nicky was showing fear in her face, and he knew when that face showed up she would faint and go into shock. Blake now had to deal with this situation so it doesn't kill Nicky or himself. He quickly glanced around the room and spotted a flag pole flying the Pohrend flag. Blake got the spontanious idea to grab it and throw it through Dolg's heart for his earlier insult towards the brave souls on the eastern border.
Blake walked over to Nicky and grabbed her arm and started walking towards Dolg and the door cautiously, he confronted Dolg and said convincingly, "Well I don't think our money needs protecting than. We'll just leave...", as blake and Nicky stepped towards the door Dolg stopped them. He grabbed Blake's shoulder, and out of nowhere, Nicky kicked Dolg in the groin. Dolg feel over holding his crotch. He had dropped his latern. Dolg was screaming in pain, now it would be harder for them to get out without being noticed by more people, and they weren't safe at Blake's house nor Nicky's. They needed a safe place away from this ungrateful village.
