Welcome all, to an experience like no other. To a clan unlike all others. Free from the simple confines of overly flashy gfx. Unscathed by the relentless failing and rebirth of so many others due to bruised egos and bitchy 12 year old leaders. Untouched by the popularity contests and outrageous streak requirements that other clans use to attempt to define themselves as great. Wrought not by the need to have everyone know your name, or to sit and brag of some meaningless accomplishments achieved in an online game. We are not your run of the mill copycat clan. We are not a cookie cutter, slap together, cycle players on a whim while claiming family unity type of clan. If you are looking for such a clan, you will find them with ease in the clan section. If need be, I will personally show you where to look just to avoid wasting our time and yours. We are not, and will not ever be them. We..are..Mostri.
Blah blah blah. We’re not really fond of the 19 paragraph rundowns of the drama fests that most clan histories are. No rebirths, no dozens of leader changes, just fairly simple stuff.
The founders of this clan were a good number of the surviving members from the real Death Note Clan. Not this cheap rip-off clan you see wandering around with ripped text still, but the actual factual clan. Sadly, while being a great clan it just wasn’t meant to be and DNC fell after almost a year, leaving us without a clan or a place to call home.
Not wanting to run off and join other clans that wouldn’t live up to the expectations we had set for ourselves after so long in DNC, we bound together to create Mostri in June of 2008. We actually thrived for a bit, but during the expansion to s-a and other games, several members fled to go create new clans or join up with others in order to chase tail they never stood a chance of getting from the start. We grew tired of playing, tired of trying, and tired of doing much in the way of involving ourselves with n-a or s-a as a whole.
With that, members got frustrated, and eventually they grew sick of the way things were. Not wanting to bother standing in their way, Chem was willing to give up the leader position to someone who deserved it more, and would advance the clan in ways he couldn't. It was soon decided that such a thing would be the death of the clan, and the family, so instead, the clan was divided into sections, and divvied up between his most trusted clanmates and friends.
Since then they have begun to grow once more, and things have begun to feel right once more. In light of this, we’ve decided that a recruitment thread deserves another shot, so here we are, doing a drive to gather up as many warm bodies as we can in hopes to regain the friends and family we once had before.

If you are looking for a “omg letz ladderz till our eyez bleed cus that’s wut makes us feel lyke non-phailurez” clan, this isn’t the clan for you.
If you are looking for a clan full of 12 year olds who have no life and have to spend their entire time awake in a chat calling each other n00bs or talking endlessly about tits and ass that they have 0% chance of touching, this isn’t the clan for you.
If you are looking for a clan where ratios and streaks are more important than your personality, then this isn’t the clan for you.
If you are looking for a clan where nobody cares about you outside of your stats, and there is a "who can I screw to get ahead" dynamic that reigns supreme, this isn't the clan for you.
If you are skimming through this, barely paying attention, this isn’t the clan for you. BTW, if you are reading this, the secret code word is now "Smoranges"
We're a solid clan with no streak/ratio/level requirements. Some clans do this because they simply need the members. We do this because we honestly couldn't care less about them.
We’re loyal to the core. Most of us have been together for 15+ months now and we enjoy that fact. We honor 2 things in the clan. Loyalty and respect. No more, no less.
We’re kind of lazy. When needed, we can be motivated to have some fun, run some tournies, and once we have the members to, host some wars. For the most part though, we enjoy sitting and chatting as much as playing the game.
We’re a horror based clan. We are not a cult, most of us aren’t spooky, and some of the members don’t even like the horror theme. You can enter if you don’t like scary stuff, and not worry about being made to wear gfx of something that you’re scared goes bump in the night.
We're a "family". Now normally, I hate the idea of "we're a family more than a clan" being tossed out by most everyone in order to look cool. We, however, don't just put it out there. As mentioned, the majority of us have been together twice as long as most clans have been alive. We know each other personally, know who each other are, what they are like. We aren't a "family" because we put "so and so is my bro" in our sigs, we are a tight knit unit because we thrive to help each other even when, to the average passer-by, it may not look that way.
As mentioned before, we are loyal to our cause, and we are looking for people who can say the same. If you clan hop, thanks but no thanks. We are looking for people who want to find a clan they can stay in, thrive in, and rise to power in. If you are looking for a stepping stone, keep looking and do it elsewhere.
We are also looking for respectful people with a sense of humor. If you are so up your own ass about your greatness that you feel the constant need to tell us about it, we don’t want you. If you can’t take some jokes and you get e-ffended at every little comment that doesn’t suit you, move along. We aren’t that serious of a clan, so we’re looking for members that view themselves in the same way.
We enjoy some activeness as well. This doesn’t mean we want you on for 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. All it means is that if you are going to be online, we’d appreciate you being in the clan chat, actually chatting. We don’t need another group of members who sign on, but never come to the chat or acknowledge they are in the clan in any way. Worse yet are the people who sign onto the chat every day, but never say anything once there. If you want to be here, then be here. Don’t take up space while wishing you were somewhere else.
We want people who are responsible. If someone goes out of their way to make you some sort of gfx, that you wear it. If someone lets you run their tourney, that you actually go and do it. We don't demand you love things that are related to the clan just because you are a part of it (hell, you don't even have to really like it if you don't want to), but don't ask for things if you have no interest in using them.
We like people willing to sit and make a name for themselves. Upon entry, you won't be the most popular person in the chat, and you may have to break through before everyone likes you. Once you do though, you're set. You won't be mocked endlessly for something you feel, laughed at for what you say, kicked for taking a break from the game or the clan, berating them for not following asinine over the top rules, or pushing into thinking as we do. If you are willing to sit and try to get to know those around you, you're completely welcome and in from the time you join to the time you leave.
Note:
This doesn't really fit in as a requirement or anything, but we are really looking for members from around the world. We have around 20 members from America, and only 13 or so from the rest of the world. Unfortunately, this leaves some of our members without many people to talk to due to time zone differences. I’d like to get them some additional members from closer to their vicinity in order to alleviate this problem.

Pretty much the same as everyone else. Chat box, “help with missions”, the chance to make happy happy joy joy friends wherever you go!
We have a pretty decent website going, got a few gfxers who can make you things once you prove you aren’t going to hop, a chance to advance in a clan that's been around for long enough to have been proven stable...and that’s pretty much it. Not sure what more anyone needs, but if you have special needs or requirements, you can just drop me a pm and I’ll see what I can do.
As you can see, we have no ratio or streak requirement. I am going to review each application personally, and if you appear to be a positive addition to the clan in attitude, loyalty, respect, and various other areas, I will accept you in no matter what your stats are. I always have believed that you can make a person a better player, but it’s much harder to make a better player less of a douche bag.
