Its just in hiding. There are plenty of absolutely incredible metal bands that are still active and making great music. Its just you have to look to find any of it. Bands that have released great albums within the last year: Symphony X Dream Theater Ayreon Opeth And of course Judas Priest Son loves mother, sweep romance! Poor old Gettles, has no pants.
