escape jutsu

in one of the first few episodes sasuke used an escape jutsu to escape narutos rope trap.
but why didnt he use it when tobi(madara) tied him up he and it could could come in lots of times before coz sasuke said it was an easy genin jutsu??
it is the forgotten jutsu
