how do you add text to gimp? this has been bothering me for a while please help

Use dafont.com

If you mean font than go to dafont.com, download the font. Copy downloaded font to the Start>Control Panel>Font. Reset your Gimp and you will found the downloaded font!

well first u dowload fonts
from dafont.com or 1001fonts.com

then u open ur main drive for me its C:/Windows/

then go to WIndows/Fonts and paste it there
u might need to unzip ur folder if ure using windows 2000 or under
