But at the time, I still found myself surrounded by supporters. Why? What they saw in him, I cound not identify. Then that one day approached, after I got home from another ordinary day of school. I checked the smashboards as I usually did to find that my nightmares had become a reality. Also, as usual, rumors continued to spread, however, it seemed as though this rumor contained truth in it. A gameplay vid with a small emblem of Lucario's head. The inclusion of Lucario in smash stunned me. I held great doubt that he would not be seen as a playable character and yet there he was on the screen in front of me. The idea still was absurd. Though I'm not exactly the biggest fan of pokemon, I could think of others who could be used in smash rather than this ... dog. Well, I shrugged it off soon after. Another character that would just sit on the screen and never be used by me I assumed. When he appeared on the dojo, he looked as though he shared many of Mewtwo's moves so at that point, it was safe to assume that he had caused another injustice. I also saw that the higher his percentage, the stronger he got. While many salivated at the thought of this, I knew that he would have to start off awfully weak to compensate for the power boost. Turns out, I was right anyway... Next month, I finally had the game in my hands. By the next day, I had unlocked Lucario. Not that I cared... but my sister seemed to. She attempted to main Lucario but to no avail. Lucario seemed so weak to me. I would seldom use him just so that I could learn him and teach some pointers to my sister. But even I found myself distressed as I used him. So as I predicted, he sat there. Never seeing action on my game. It took until early June until I finally picked him up again. I had seen Azen's Lucario and it inspired me. At this point, I had picked up all the basics of brawl, I thought that my new training with Lucario would go over a lot easier... but it was a slow journey. Lucario seemed like such an easy character to use at first sight, but upon further review, I had learned that he would take patience and strategizing. One day, a day that I do not remember, my inner Lucario emerged. He finally seemed as though I had mastered the aura. I had managed to defeat my friends with him and it was time for his final test... wifi battling. Despite being rather new with him, Lucario was able to fit himself into my squad rather well. Now, I realize the enjoyment found in playing as Lucario. The way he moves, flows, fights, combos, grabs, jumps... it all works together with him so wonderously. But the greatest part with him is his ability to overcome all adversities. A trait of his I have just recently discovered and cherished. Against all odds, Lucario is able to battle back. He is never out of the battle. This is what I love about him. If he is behind in stocks, he gains a power boost. In four battles of the past two days, I lost the first stock using Lucario. Though Lucario can't seem to get a kill until he's back at 70% which seemingly would give the opponent a big advantage. But no, Lucario and his aura never give up! Despite being behind 70%+, he was able to control the entire flow of each battle. In three of those battles, he ended with two stocks left!! And he still won the fourth as well. What a great feeling. What a confidence boost. To make a comeback like that. And only Lucario can generate that. Lucario's traits have filled me with such a sensation that I do not even care for the fact that Mewtwo is gone anymore. In fact, I'm more than pleased that Lucario was able to bring what he brought into smash. To those on the list: If you wish to ascend up the ladder, you must challenge the user ranked one higher then you in the ladder. The other user must officially accept on the boards as well. If you win, you will take that users place on the list and the loser will go down in rank. To those NOT on the list: If you wish to become a part of the list and prove your skills in Smash Bros, you must challenge the user ranked 10 to a match. If you win, you gain spot 10 and the loser is dropped from the ladder. If you lose, you rank will still stay the same. *This is only a starting point of the ladder, showing the views of certain users and how skilled they are. In time you will see that the Ranking System will prove to be more accurate as more battles take place.
