Alright, I know this is a long post and most probably won't read through all of it, so if
you only read one thing, let it be this:

1) Scamming, what is it and why is it so bad.

Well in terms of it being used in Naruto Arena, it's when someone tries to obtain your account by fooling you. There are several methods listed below. Basically, somebody finds the game to be too difficult, so they try and STEAL others' hard work. Don't get tricked by their evil and malicious ways.

2) Methods to watch out for.

There's many methods those evil people use, but here's some of the more common ones:
Method 1: Cheats/Glitch/Bug

What do both of these fellows have in common? They're both LYING. There are NO CHEATS.
Method 2: Impersonations
H4x says: Hi, I'm a mod on naruto-boards. I need "etc, etc, etc"

G4metester says: Gametester here, I was just wondering if "etc, etc, etc"
At this point, they'll say they need your password for some odd reason. Whether it be "something wrong with your account", or "would you like to be a mod". Just by noticing that their names aren't what they're supposed to be, or checking their profile is a dead giveaway, but sometimes it's not so easy to spot. Just earlier today at the time of writing this guide, someone posed as ZelosWilder on MSN. It's easy to use a fake name/display picture/avatar/etc, so just be extremely cautious.
No member of the staff will ever ask for your password. They can get it without you telling them.
Method 3: Promises

Then of course, they'll ask for your password. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure not everyone who offers help is a scammer, but I wouldn't trust anyone with my hard worked on account, and you shouldn't either.
Method 4: Email Scam
ClubsBabySeals says: Change your email to naruto_fan_boy@emailprovider.com and you can unlock shippuden Sasuke!(Or some other promise ;D)
This one is a bit more tricky. By changing your email to the one they give, they can use the "recover password" thing and get your password. They will then use this to login and steal your account. There's honestly no need to ever change your email, so don't do it if asked randomly. >_<

The basic ways to not get scammed:
#1 rule: Do NOT under any circumstances give your password out to ANYONE, not even people claiming to be staff.

Don't change your email to one someone tells you to.

Don't believe everything someone says. Always question the odd and unbelievable.

If it sounds too good to be true, it almost always is.

4) What to do if you are scammed.

So you saw this thread too late and you've already lost your account? =( Don't be sad young one, I'm here to point you down the yellow brick road to getting it back.
1] First, get any evidence you have...preferably in screenshots like the ones below.
2] Collect any and all proof that you indeed are the owner of the said account.
3] Go on an alternate account(If you don't have one, make one), pm a global mod.
4] If a global mod isn't available/responding, contact your favorite regular mod in hopes that they can get a hold of a global mod for you.
5] Explain the whole situation to them in detail. Don't lie about it either. I've had people swear up and down that they didn't give their password to someone when I know for a fact that they did. Lying only hurts your cause.

The global mods/admins are at the top. Make sure it's a global mod and not an admin you're pming for reasons listed at letter "c" below.
How to act:
a] Always be courteous and try and use understandable English. There's nothing worse than someone begging for help and you can't understand any of it.
b] Be patient. Just because they haven't responded to your pm right away that doesn't mean they won't. The mods are very busy; they'll get back to you when they can.
c] As appealing as pming an admin for help seems, it's a bad idea. I imagine they get at least 40+ pms a day if not more. It'd be easy for your pm to get lost in all of those.
